Are Spirit Guides Real??

Over the years, I've had many takes on this question. Are spirit guides figments of our unconscious or our imagination? I think it's important to be open to being wrong, and not to become too attached to our beliefs.

But first, what are spirit guides?

The idea is that when we ask our intuition for answers, the answer can come from several places - I cover these options in my book, Chakra Healing & Magick, but basically, our intuition brings messages from the angels, spirit guides, your higher self and some would say, from God.

I didn't include the last one in my book, but basically, spirit guides are humans who lived on Earth and that have wisdom or special experience to share with us. Growing up Catholic, this didn't feel like a stretch because I was used to asking a particular saint for help. Like St Francis of Assisi. Asking an ancestor for guidance is common in Mexico too. But after I found my psychic school, my guides became a lot more colorful than that. In the past I've blogged about how I used to see a wizard in my early days as a psychic student. Funny enough, he helped me negotiate a new job for myself, with a much better salary.

But even then, I thought the wizard was a figment of my imagination, and I'd push him aside. Then my classmates started seeing him too, and I finally decided to take him seriously. This was in 2010 to 2011, when I was a newbie. I was still scared of magick and intuition - on one hand, I didn't think magick was real and I worried people would think I had lost my mind. This went on for a few years - even after I'd graduated as an energy healer. By 2015, I was completely sold on healing yourself with magick. Soon after, I started writing my magick book.

Round about that time, the wizard guide disappeared and I began to wonder if he had been a figment of my imagination or my unconscious. The latter would have been just as valuable as a real spirit guide...

My assumption was that the clairvoyant image was there to awaken the healer or magician in me, and that when I embodied that, he disappeared. I was sad when that happened, but magick is about who we become. Not that I'm a wizard LOL, but now I feel happy and comfortable talking about crystals, astrology, psychic abilities etc.

So imagine my surprise, when I started teaching intuition in 2016. My first big workshop was on psychic abilities, angels and goddesses. I led the students on a few guided meditations before putting them in small groups. Each of the groups would connect with an angel or guide - a mystical musical chairs where the students changed places to feel the energy of an angel vs. an archangel vs. a goddess. I had attended a similar workshop with one of my tutors, in 2010, when I was starting out. Loved it ðŸ”®

> When I was splitting them up into 4-5 groups, that wizard guide came back and asked me to put him with a group. I told that specific group that they were connecting with one of my guides - a wizard. They expected someone solemn to appear, say Gandalf, but he is playful and fun. The cool thing is that when the students in that group talked about their experiences, they'd all seen and felt the same things. Like literally the same clairvoyant images, sensations etc. I wasn't guiding the meditation or telling them what to see, because five groups were meditating at the same time, each with a different archangel, guide or goddess.

So yes, I'm back to spirit guides being real. I have been there since 2016 LOL. They can be a lot of fun to connect with. Have a look at Chapter 6 for details: Psychic Development for Beginners 🌟🌟🌟

Book Review: Hands of Light, by Barbara A. Brennan

When I signed up for energy healing school in 2010, the first book on the recommended reading list was Hands of Light. Written by a former NASA scientist-turned energy healer, it is a classic in healing circles.

The author, Barbara Ann Brennan, explores the Aura and Chakras in terms that are precise but also quite technical. As a new student, I skimmed the first few chapters and put it away. It has been sitting on my shelf for years, through several relocations, only to be consulted briefly when I had specific questions about an Aura layer or Chakra.

When I began teaching Reiki last year I decided that it was finally time to read it, cover to cover. The book is fantastic, and while there weren't many surprises as we covered most of the themes in class, I learned a lot from it (or remembered what I had forgotten).

Here are some of the concepts that stood out:

1) Chakras Have Two Components:

If we look at the body, the major chakras cross the spine at seven points, from front to back. While we can say roughly that each of the Chakras has a specific theme, for example, vision at the Brow or creative drive at the Sacral Chakra - the front and back sides of the chakras have specific roles to play.

This information ended up being incredibly useful for me when it came to accessing Brow Chakra. The front side helps us create a vision of where we'd like to be, or what we want our life to look like. The back of the Brow tells us how to get from Point A to Point B. We need both sides to make our dreams a reality.

I realized that I had a clear vision of what I'd like to do with my healing practice, but no idea how to get there. So I began to give myself lots of Reiki on the backside of my Brow, and a few weeks later I was introduced to a fantastic publicist who gave me dozens of great ideas, which I am now applying on my Spanish language site in Mexico City =)

2) The Chakras Are Psychic Gateways

This I have known all along thanks to my years of healing and psychic studies. And intuitively, when I was writing my Chakra Healing & Magick book, I assigned each of the seven psychic abilities to a different chakra (there are seven along the spine).

The surprise was that Barbara Brennan's correlation of psychic abilities to chakras is very similar to what I had guesstimated for my Chakra book. She has emotional empathy at the Sacral Chakra, below the navel, taste and smells at the Throat Chakra, and physical sensations, temperature changes, chills, and feeling the presence of angels at the Root Chakra.
3) There Is Science to Healing

Most healers work intuitively, placing their hands where they feel drawn to in the Aura or Chakras. If a healer isn't especially clairvoyant or sensitive (they don't have to be), they may not notice anything out of the ordinary, other than tingles and temperature.

Because Brennan is clairvoyant and scientific in her approach, she breaks the Aura and the Chakras down into specific levels, each with a function for the human body or spirit. She also illustrates mental, emotional or physical imbalances. As a roadmap for any healer, it is specific, precise and quite colorful.

Are Angels for Real? Conversations with an Atheist ...

Last week I logged onto Facebook to share information about angels and how we can reach out to ask for help. An atheist replied with the statement that if angels and God exist, why don't they come together with a huge miracle to find food and shelter for everyone?

His comments were spot on; I have asked myself the very same thing many times and I was glad to receive that question in a public forum because it is important.

Also, if there is one thing we can learn from Facebook, it is that interacting with people from other walks of life can and should push us to question our beliefs.

Human Problems Need Human Solutions

When I have asked the angels that question, the answer is obvious: that many of the systemic problems in the world are human creations: extreme poverty, wars, climate change and even the health care system and who has access to it. Human problems need human solutions; it is up to us to fix them as our civilization creates these issues on a global scale.

The angels help us with ideas, courage, confidence and by introducing us to people with cooperative dispositions, but they are not magicians in the Disney "Fairy Godmother" sort of way.

That said, the angels can help us meet our needs. Archangel Uriel helps us find our footing with our mission in life, including rent, bills and other financial needs. As the angel of the element of Earth, Uriel looks after money & matter.

Angelic Help In Our Daily Lives

In our daily lives, angels can help us spot opportunities that already exist, but that we haven't seen. They give us strength and courage to go after them and often huge amounts of luck. We can also help them for help with small tasks; I asked Archangel Michael to delay a train for 2 minutes once so that I wouldn't be late to work (Read about it HERE)

Each of the archangels has a mission to look after. The feeling I have is that they want and NEED us humans to team up with them. Whether it is helping with peace efforts, economic growth and equality, sustainability or looking after vulnerable adults, children and ecosystems. The archangels are our friends, they support us and they want us to view them as teammates so that we can all work together =)

How Do We Go About It ??

We can start by connecting with them and becoming familiar with their energy. One of the themes in my book, Chakra Healing & Magick, is how we can team up with the archangels by activating our intuition and channeling their guidance into creative solutions. The idea is for us to take the lead in our lives, with our intuition as a GPS. The book is available in most countries where Amazon exists. 2022 Update: Now available in English and Spanish in the Bookstore

A Meditation with Archangel Uriel

One more thing! The guy from Facebook, his name was URIEL. If that is not a sign, I don't know what is! Thanking both Uriels for the message.

Awaken Your Intuitive Super Powers!

The past few months I have been leading an intuition class where we awaken the Chakras with creative meditations, and through the Chakras, the different aspects of our intuition: sight, sound, feeling, taste, touch & smell.

And GUESS WHAT?

I am taking the meditations to YouTube! Yay! =)

The focus has been on the Chakras because they each relate to a specific intuitive skill and life sphere. For example, communication and clairaudience at the Throat, clairvoyance and thought processes at the Brow, or personal power in the Solar Plexus. One of my favourite meditations involves visualising light as it makes it's way through the body, usually blue or violet in color - a simple way to activate our Chakras.

By healing and clearing the Chakras, we can also change the way we view and relate to the world. We can learn to access our intuitive hunches in our daily lives, while using those insights to boost our personal relationships, career and hobbies ties with fresh energy, passion and optimism.

In hindsight, taking this visual journey through the Chakras and awakening them one by one (bottom-up) made my learning process easier. It makes is less likely for us to feel overwhelmed - a common complaint from empaths and highly sensitive people.

A Picture of The Chakras

Meditation: A Quick Intuition Booster

This format works well as students come back to meditate every week, engaging in practical exercises from my book, Chakra Healing & Magick. For the next few months I am going to be piloting online sessions on my YouTube Channel HERE. You can listen to the meditations without reading the book, but the two go hand in hand so it is worth reading if we want to make the most of the meditations =)

The meditations in the Chakra book are loosely based on tools that I had the pleasure of learning in my student days at the School of Intuition & Healing in London, where I felt like Hermione Granger for the better part of two years. My sister teased me about that, how I moved to the UK and found a magical school right away! An amazing experience that I'd like to share with others.

So When Do We Start???

I will upload a guided meditation focused on gratitude after Thanksgiving (Update!!! HERE IT IS). In the meaning, please begin with one of the guided meditations below as they will help you activate your energy, especially the lower chakras which are so vital to grounding and shielding ourselves intuitively. The second one is my favorite!

A) The Chakra Meditation will guide you through activating your Chakras and closing down at the end. This makes it easy for us to switch on our intuition when we need it, and to shut it off once we're done. Otherwise, we can become overwhelmed by crowds, or in social situations with lots of people.

B) The Flowerbed Meditation teaches us to ground and activate our energy before going into the Heart Chakra to connect with our angels, spiritual guides and our higher self. Both of these meditations are from my book which explores intuition, energy healing, crystals and angels in depth.

The weekly meditations have been great fun to lead each week, and I am looking forward to giving them online too. For now we are going with YouTube because it is open to everyone. Facebook Live is fantastic, but some of my readers aren't on Facebook (how they have managed to resist, I don't know LOL). We will have a private Facebook group HERE, though. I hope to see you there!

A SPECIAL UPDATE!

The gratitude meditation is available below! Learn to ground yourself in Mother Nature through the Root Chakra, gently clear emotions and/or beliefs through the Sacral & Solar Plexus Chakras, before letting your Heart overflow with love, energy healing and plenty of liquid light.

Hope you enjoy these meditations! I would also suggest that you read through the guided meditations in Chakra Healing & Magick, and record them for yourself as your body and subconcious respond best to your voice. After all, we listen to our thoughts and words all day, programming the our energy body and mind without doing it consciously.

Reiki hugs,

Regina

Things Every Psychic Explorer Should Know

Last year I signed up for an advanced class at my psychic school - our tutor focused on the skills needed to teach the intuitive arts. Students flex their chakras and give each other messages. It dawned on me, there are four things I wish I'd known (with certainty) when I was starting out.

1) Everyone has psychic abilities, even if they don't know it. I was vaguely aware of this in school. Intuition is an ability that we all possess to an extent, and we can meditate to develop it further. But I didn't understand how psychic we really were until the years flew by and I began teaching. At first, I couldn't help smiling when a student mentioned feeling strong heat in their palms, often a sign of healing abilities, or when several saw the same clairvoyant image in their mind's eye during meditations. Students often mention seeing a specific image, like an apple or a color, before I described it in a clairvoyant meditation. These comments rang a bell.

2) Awakening our intuition is a process. We may start by feeling temperature changes, seeing flashes of color, or with fleeting thoughts. Then our angels and guides reveal themselves in our mind's eye. These are signposts along the way, letting us know that we are on the right track. I was lucky enough to keep a journal in the form of this blog; as I see my students evolve, I recognize many of the steps that I went through four or five years ago. As a teacher, it is easier to trust the process than it was as a student. There were plenty of times when I was sure I would never be able to give a full reading. The ability to receive messages builds with practice.

3) We open up and advance at our own pace. Some of my classmates went through the intro and intermediate levels in six months while others took years. I think this may have something to do with our astrology. I suspect that people with plenty of Water (intuition, emotions) and Fire (divine spark) in their charts are naturally more intuitive than those of us who have more Earth (practical, materialistic) and Air (logic) in our charts. There are benefits to having lots of Earth or Air - we have more grounding to build on, and intuitive thoughts flow quickly when they start to appear. But to begin with, that materialism and my rational mind were big hurdles.

The fourth I did know as my teachers were fantastic. Always begin a session by grounding, clearing and shielding your personal space. Grounding makes it possible for us to receive practical messages, clearing releases any emotions that we may have absorbed from others and shielding keeps us safe.
