Remote Viewing and Clairvoyance

I recently finished a six-month class on Internal Family Systems Psychology , which looks at different parts of you and how they interact. I have two polarized parts - one is intuitive, the other wants to be rational and make sense of things, but more than that, that part of me wants to explain away intuition in logical and scientific ways.  In some way, I started this blog to document my experiences after I came across my former psychic school in 2010. If you check out the Rabbit Hole tab you'll find blog entries for that crazy fun journey.  There have been a few instances that I didn't write about, and that I don't know how to explain but that still boggled my mind. For example, in 2013, I signed up for a Remote Viewing class - where you use intuition to look at a target, and then verify what you saw. Our teacher gave us lots of different exercises.  The Time I Half-Failed Remote Viewing One day she had us sit in pairs, with your partner sitting in front of you with t...

Are Spirit Guides Real??

Over the years, I've had many takes on this question. Are spirit guides figments of our unconscious or our imagination? I think it's important to be open to being wrong, and not to become too attached to our beliefs.  But first, what are spirit guides?  The idea is that when we ask our intuition for answers, the answer can come from several places - I cover these options in my book, Chakra Healing & Magick , but basically, our intuition brings messages from the angels, spirit guides, your higher self and some would say, from God.   I didn't include the last one in my book, but basically, spirit guides are humans who lived on Earth and that have wisdom or special experience to share with us. Growing up Catholic, this didn't feel like a stretch because I was used to asking a particular saint for help. Like St Francis of Assisi. Asking an ancestor for guidance is common in Mexico too. But after a few months in psychic school, my guides became a lot more colorful than t...

Are Angels for Real? Conversations with an Atheist ...

Last week I logged onto Facebook to share information about angels and how we can reach out to ask for help. An atheist replied with the statement that if angels and God exist, why don't they come together with a huge miracle to find food and shelter for everyone?  His comments were spot on; I have asked myself the very same thing many times and I was glad to receive that question in a public forum because it is important.  Also, if there is one thing we can learn from Facebook, it is that interacting with people from other walks of life can and should push us to question our beliefs.  Human Problems Need Human Solutions  When I have asked the angels that question, the answer is obvious: that many of the systemic problems in the world are human creations: extreme poverty, wars, climate change and even the health care system and who has access to it. Human problems need human solutions; it is up to us to fix them as ou...

Things Every Psychic Explorer Should Know

Last year I signed up for an advanced class at my psychic school - our tutor focused on the skills needed to teach the intuitive arts. Students flex their chakras and give each other messages.  It dawned on me, there are four things I wish I'd known (with certainty) when I was starting out.    1) Everyone has  psychic abilities,  even if  they don't know it.   I was vag uely aware of this in school.  Intuition is an ability that we all possess to an extent, and we can  meditate  to develop it further. But I didn't understand how psychic we really were until the years flew by and I began teaching.  At first, I co uldn' t help smiling  when a student mentioned feeling strong heat in their palms, often a sign of healing abilities, or when several saw the same clairvoyant image in their mind's eye during meditations. Students often mention seeing a specific image, like an apple or a color, before I described it in a clairv...
