Mind Readers Anonymous

There's a psychic skill that makes me really uncomfortable. You may have heard of empaths, those special people who can feel what others are feeling. For example, empath #1 might be sitting on the bus with a friend. If their friend is down in the dumps that empath might feel down in the dumps as well. If you're perceptive enough you might also know who the feeling or thought is coming from. It's happened to me a couple times, at first I ignored it. There are people who make me feel like crying whenever I see them. I'm not always sure what to do,  how to help, or if I should ignore it and let them be. Awkward.

If empaths know how we feel, do they also hear what we think?

Remember that Mel Gibson movie, What Women Want? Its about an ad exec in Chicago who wakes up one morning and he can hear all of the thoughts that run through women's heads. There is a scene where an intern thinks she could disappear or die without anyone in her office noticing or even caring. How sad! When he confronts it about her, she is shocked to learn that he could tell. She doesn't know how, but the realisation that her misery was so apparent has her feeling just a little bit sad. This is an extreme case, but most of us wouldn't be too comfortable if we thought other people could hear our thoughts or witness our inner most feelings.

The past month or so I've had two thoughts that really surprised me. Usually something that I would never say or think in real life. Both times I glanced over to the the person next to me smiling. The first time it happened I was in one of my psychic classes and I thought that the lady sitting next to me might have heard my thought, but looking back on it I probably sensed hers. For a second I thought it was my own and I was really shocked at the un-politically correct joke.

One of my psychic teachers told us that eventually you can hear other people thinking, particularly if their thoughts are really loud. On a few occasions she has verbally responded to her siblings' thoughts and they always get mad at her for being in their heads. To which she responds by telling them not to think so loudly! LOL

What is the difference between a loud and a quiet thought? I think loud thoughts are projected by our throat chakras even if we do not say them aloud.  That same "tone of thought" is the one I've used when I talk to my Spirit Guides, so it must be some sort of telepathic communication.  I guess there must be people who project their thoughts without realising it, and lucky for them most people can't hear it.

This post feels like a flight of fancy, would love to HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS on the subject =)

Working with Chakra Pairs

Had a really nice healing session today with one of my clients! Spent the whole thirty minutes working on the chakras and just finished with a white disc clearing through her aura. That and grounding and protecting her at the end of it, of course!

This session I worked with the chakra pairs, clearing and balancing them in conjunction as I went along. So for example start with the root chakra and the heart, then move on the sacral and the throat, the solar plexus and the brow and finally the heart and the crown.

I like using this session because you can spend a lot more time on the chakras when you work on two at a time. I also like to place my stronger healing hand on the active chakra in the pair, and send the energy through the client's channel to the other chakra. The channel is a beam of white light that runs into the crown through the chakras, out the root chakra and into the ground. The way I see it, it appears to go on and on forever.

I've been using this beam of light to clear through the chakras, especially the ones that are paired. It is a nice way to clear and balance chakras without putting your hands on them directly. Today I tried this with the throat chakra, so I had my right hand over the client's sacral chakra and used my intent to send the energy to the throat.  I used three techniques on the throat chakra:

  • With my right hand on the sacral chakra, I visualised the energy flowing from the sacral to the throat where it cleared and healed any blocks.
  • I visualised a white disc of light travelling through the throat chakra from front to back. All along I had my left hand on the floor and my right hand over the sacral chakra.
  • Finally I placed my left hand over the client's throat chakra and my right hand on the floor beside me. I then pulled any excess energy from the throat chakra down my left arm and out my right arm into the ground where it was grounded and cleared.

This last technique is similar to the grounding we have learned to do at the end of couch healings, where the healer places their hands on the client's feet and ground their energy through the healer's body. In these instances I visualise myself as a grounding cord and all of their excess energy goes through me into the ground where it is cleared and purified. None of that energy is held in my body, every last bit goes into the ground. At the end of the healing session I will step out of the client's energy field and visualise a huge bucket of water being poured over me to wash away any traces.

When the session ended the client commented on this without me asking any questions. Her feedback was that she had felt a very strong energy on her throat and opened her eyes expecting to see my hands above her throat. Instead my hand was over her hips. I went on to explain that those 2 chakras were paired and I could work on clearing the throat by keeping my hands over the sacral.  She was impressed.

There are so many things that I might visualise or put intention on during a healing session and if the client feedback un-prompted it gives me proof that I'm not making things up! At this point I shouldn't need confirmation, but I still like getting it and in some way that feedback session also gives the client a better understanding of how the subtle bodies work.

My Take on Telepathy

We've all had moments when we know what someone else is thinking. The stereotypical example is the phone rings, and you already know who is on the other end. Or something funny happens on the street, and you anticipate your boyfriend's comment before he makes it. These things happen when we are very close to someone, we know them inside out and are also on the same wavelength. But are we really hearing their thoughts? I don't think so.

So today I asked me guides what we can do, if anything, to improve our psychic communication. Imagine how cool it would be to tell someone to pass you the salt without actually having to open your mouth, point, or look in the direction of the salt shaker. If I can hear my spirit guides and they can hear me, there has to be a way for other humans to hear me as well. This got me thinking - how do I communicate with my guides? Sometimes I write to them, sometimes I will run through a list of questions through my mind, and if I'm alone I might ask out loud - but I don't recommend this one.

The key thing, is that when I sit down to have a conversation with my guides I always open up, and I project me thoughts and feelings out in their direction. Then I wait for them to answer. At first I got images, a sort of collage that I would interpret to get the answer. This type of message comes through the brow chakra, which is traditionally associated with telepathy and mental communication. Then at one point the messages started coming as sound, and sound is not linked to the brow chakra.

We hear and speak through our throat chakras, this is the energy center that governs our inner ear as well as our vocal chords and throat. These organs are linked, and I supposed that is why you will typically find doctors that specialize in both. On an energetic level our throat chakra has to open up before we start hearing sounds in our meditations, it can be music, words, or a full blown conversation. In my experience the voice comes from inside me, and that is because we only hear it after it is received and interpreted by our throat chakra. Is this telepathy or is it something else?

So back to my question, how can we work on our psychic speech and hearing?

Meditation: Focus on your throat chakra and let it play music for you, it can be anything you like but get your mind used to the idea that the sound is actually being heard in your throat. This will increase the vibration of your throat chakra, and it will help it open up slowly.

Project: The next step is to project your voice from your throat chakra, without opening your mouth or using your vocal chords. I'm not sure how to explain this, the important thing is keep your energetic awareness on your throat chakra while you read along. Use your inner voice and listen to it.

It takes practice, but you can use this technique to talk to your angels and guides. If you have a friend or loved one who is into this type of thing as well it would be fun to test it out and see what happens. Overall, this will be a less intrusive form of communication. If someone used a chord to project their thoughts into my head I would be very pissed off.  Hearing their voice through my throat chakra is a lot closer to what we already do, and would not be such a huge adjustment.

What do you think of this one?
