The Planets, Cosmic Geometry and our Unconscious Patterns

If you’ve had a look at this intro to natal astrology , there is a paragraph near the end that talks about alchemy being found in the blue and red lines that criss cross the chart. These lines represent Aspects, or geometric patterns between the planets  ⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️ As an energy healer, I focus on planetary Aspects in my self healing sessions. Below you’ll find an explanation. I first published this article on a friend’s astrology site - it was featured in her newsletter in 2022.  >> Please Note: This is an intermediate astrology post. Check out the menu bar for an introduction to astrology and charts. Aspects In Astrology:  Deep Dive  Into  Your Unconscious    Journaling has been one of my favorite activities since childhood,  just  writing about how I felt  in any given situation.  Decades  later, I discovered energy healing and natal astrology . This  brought the light of wisdom and compassion to my journaling  ...

Tapping Into Your Soul’s Infinite Potential ✨

I h ad a nerdy aha moment and I want to share it with you. In the past I’ve written about how, astrologically, the North Node’s Zodiac sign indicates how we can find happiness outside of our comfort zone. The opposite sign, or South Node, is where we get stuck in self defeatin g  behavioral patterns . Moving from one to the other can be uncomfortable, and often requires self-healing. The tools in my book,  Chakra Healing & Magick , will  help you break free.  My North Node is in Leo - it asks me to shine bright and share what I do openly and enthusiastically. But for the longest time, I was reluctant to talk about energy healing and my mystical interests.  Showing off felt like a taboo when I was growing up, and the mystical healer side was unheard of in my circle.  Owning and revealing that was a challenge; my blog was anonymous for a few years. I was working in a science environment, which made it harder.  This started to change after I read my...

The Indian & Tibetan River of Buddhism (Class Review)

I’m enrolled in an online class at Columbia University called The Indian & Tibetan River of Buddhism . Signed up when quarantine began and I am glad I did.  The class is taught by Dr Robert Thurman - one of the founders of Tibet House in NYC. We are only on the second week, but I wanted to share it now as you can still  sign up .  We’ve covered the history of Buddhism: what society, culture and government were like 2600 years ago and why the Buddha's approach to happiness, compassion and freedom was appealing to so many people, especially freedom from the hierarchy of the caste systems. It also feels like a  lot of the concepts are still relevant today, for example, the study of the nature of reality and how we can find happiness.   The class looks at the concepts of Dharma (as far as I can tell, a search for truth), the Eightfold Path and how these lay the groundwork for enlightenment through meditation. To become enlightened is to have y...

What Do Happiness & Magic Mean To You?

I have spent lots of time  meditating with crystals, journaling and going for walks to clear the air. One of the themes that has been running through my mind is the concept of magic and if we can manifest anything we visualize. Call it magic, manifesting or the law of attraction...  This particular question is time-sensitive now - this  March 2020 -  as the whole world has received a cosmic time out, with a bit of fear and uncertainty thrown into the mix, and lots of time to contemplate our lives.  The message that came through today was that YES - everyone can experience happiness, love, security, health and belonging, but how that looks will be different for each of us.  We won't all have a house as big as Oprah's - or a big business to run - but we can all have and deserve to have work that we we enjoy, a beautiful roof over our heads and loved ones to share this with. And to be honest, many of us wouldn't enjoy the pace and maintenanc...
