(Not) Unexpected News!

Two years ago, I wrote a post about how Uranus brings unexpected changes in my life . Uranus is the planet of change, disruption and liberation. Uranus transits to my natal Moon have brought relocations. At the time, I was applying for European citizenship but I didn't want to jinx it.  Well, it's finally come through! I don't know how this will translate into big changes, other than I hope to travel more.   When I applied, Uranus was exactly 120 degrees away from my Natal Moon at 19 degrees of Capricorn, and 120 degrees from the part of my natal chart that relates to my home - and what counts as home. My 4th House, or 4th pizza slice, as described on the Astrology 101 page.  Uranus is currently traveling through my 12th House in my natal chart - it relates to past lives, family baggage (or gifts!). That is part of what has become activated. The 120 degree planetary aspect - the trine - is about things falling into place with ease. The new citizenship came through the fa...

Is Manifesting for Real?

A while ago I wrote a post asking if spirit guides are real - pointing out that we have to challenge our beliefs, and also how we interpret what happens to us. Let's not get stuck in an idea or a worldview.  So today I'm going to take this approach to manifesting - is it for real? I don't think manifesting is for real, nor should it be the main focus in our lives. Personally, I've had good results applying conventional methods to get ahead - with help from my angels and guides. But still, it took drive and ambition to find a good corporate job in London, years ago. That and focusing on my personal competencies, and on the soft skills that were needed. Putting myself out there, networking, knocking on doors. Real world activities. And luck, that is a...

Healing the Shadow with Astrology and Magick

The way we approach anything in life is often shaped by our background, and as an energy healer, it is not surprising that natal astrology has provided not only a tool for understanding myself and how I interact with the world around me, but also a roadmap for self-healing. Studying our natal charts reveals many secrets, one of which brings the realization that: My Shadow Is Someone Else's Light.  We all have feelings, desires, and qualities within ourselves that we hide from others, and often, hide them so deeply that we may not be aware of those qualities within ourselves. Eventually, we meet someone who displays those qualities openly - perhaps ambition or frivolity - and  it rubs us the wrong way.  What we dislike in others is often a reflection of the qualities within ourselves that we have yet to acknowledge. Along the same lines, what we admire in others can also be an expression of the capabilities that we have ye...
