Rocks, Reiki and a Flower Disaster

I had a crazy experience 8 or 9 years ago and I forgot to blog about it 😅

Here goes! I bought a handful of stones in a shop. Most crystals have great energy to begin with, and I do clear them before activating them. But on my way home, I took a tiny carnelian out of the bag and held it in my palm. It didn’t seem happy.

My hand stung after a while; it felt like the crystal was angry. Instead of clearing and keeping it, I decided to return it to nature. Burying crystals is a great way to clear their energy. But I just happened to walk past a huge flowerbed, and without thinking, I tossed it right into the flowers. That was a mistake.

Three days later, I walked past the flowers and it looked like they were all drooping. The flowerbed was about 6 feet wide and the whole thing looked terrible. And more than that, they felt sad. I felt awful - so I gave the flowers Reiki for a few minutes and left. It didn’t help. A friend joined me later that week and we spent a lot of time sending healing to the flowers. When I checked again, the flowers looked much better!

I did wonder if I was imagining it. My friend also thought they were sad.

Lately, I have been thinking about this experience and how crystals, Reiki and water can help us bloom. Also, how energy healing might not be purely psychological, or based on belief. I would say that it doesn’t matter if we connect with energy healing logically or not (telling my inner skeptic that, I have that polarity). Give yourself some love and see what happens.

Let yourself bloom - give yourself lots of energy healing. And yes, clear your crystals before using them 😂

And thinking of those flowers .... Take a few minutes to fill yourself with a fresh burst of energy healing, to soften the edges. We have all been in and around situations that are messy. Energy healing is simple.

It relies on meditation and intuition. We can all learn to practice these tools and awaken our own magick.

Do It Yourself!

Read my book, Chakra Healing & Magick, to connect with energy healing, crystals and intuition. The cover is a flower - give yourself love, and let your life bloom! 🌺🌺🌺

Does sharing have to be selfless or painful?

One of the things that I have had to let go of is the idea that if we help someone, it has to be 100% altruistic - in order for the action to be good. I don’t know if this is an idea that I adopted in childhood seeing others hold up selflessness as good - “give till it hurts” etc. The world would be a much better place if we knew that it is always in our benefit to help others. We always get something in return, directly or indirectly 💛 🫶🏻 Research shows that kindness makes for a much healthier society. I read a book last year called Shadow, Self & Spirit on transpersonal (or collective) psychology. There was a chapter on the psychology of evil and violence. People are less likely to harm others if they experience some form of compassion in their lives, or if they believe that someone cares about them - even if it’s a public figure, a politician, a celeb, or a deity like Quan Yin. Or better yet, family members, friends, and strangers. Random acts...

Is Manifesting for Real?

A while ago I wrote a post asking if spirit guides are real - pointing out that we have to challenge our beliefs, and also how we interpret what happens to us. Let's not get stuck in an idea or a worldview.  So today I'm going to take this approach to manifesting - is it for real? I don't think manifesting is for real, nor should it be the main focus in our lives. And honestly, I say this despite evidence to the contrary in my own life, i.e. things that I've manifested.   My issue with manifesting is that it's focused on ourselves, and what we can get in the material world. Personally, I've had good results applying conventional methods to get ahead - with help from my angels and guides. But still, it took drive and ambition to find a good corporate job in London, years ago. That and focusing on my personal competencies, and on the soft skills that were needed. Putting myself out there, networking, knocking on doors. Real world activities. And luck, that is a...

Vibrational Medicine by Dr Richard Gerber (Book Review)

People often ask if energy healing depends on the belief of the client - the placebo effect is real .  And while we   can  harness it by working through feelings and beliefs  that may undermine the healing process,   when I worked in  consumer  healthcare, research was  expected to outperform the placebo.   This is why I was happy to find a  book called  Vibrational Medicine,  by Dr Richard Gerber. It goes  through research done in labs and clinical settings. The book is a brick: 500 pages and almost too technical, but worth reading as an energy healer.   Below you will find highlights from Chapter 8 on Psychic Healing. Please note ,  Energy Healing is complementary to medical care, not alternative.   Dr. Gerber uses the term  'Psychic Healing'  throughout the book; however, in my own practice, I refer to these concepts as  'Energy Healing' based on my studies . Vibrational Medicine, by Richar...
