In January of 2010, I signed up for my first clairvoyance workshop. Feeling curious but skeptical - would I be able to do any of the activities in the class description???    That skepticism disappeared by lunchtime when we finished the first exercise. The teacher put us in pairs and guided us through a meditation where we each visited the place where the other student lived.   We began by activating our Aura, and through it, our intuition .  The teacher then asked a series of questions: do they live in a city, what do you see in the street, how far from the neighbors, what color is the building, do you walk right through the front door into their home or is it a journey? The questions continued - how many bedrooms, how are they decorated, what is in the fridge, what is the view like? How many people live there? Do they have pets? The Law of Attraction works in funny ways. They say that what we think about or feel very strongly will manifest around us, and this is cool if you are manifesting things you love (if not always straightforward). But there is at least one area where this "law" can trip us up: tarot readings.  Let's say you go for a tarot reading and you're worried about your job or your marriage. That fear or worry is held in your Aura, and when the cards are shuffled and drawn, instead of drawing the messages that your guides and angels want you to hear, we draw images that appear to confirm those fears. The past six months I’ve been taking part in a spiritual circle where we study a variety of topics ranging from healing to astrology, and most recently, how to create a magick wand. This week’s homework involved making use of the New Moon to find a suitable wand and attune it to your energy. I had one already that, oddly enough, used to be part of a set of chopsticks (though I never used it to eat, LOL!) The funny thing about magick wands is apparently, they do work, as I discovered when I tried to activate a carnelian crystal with the help of my wand a few years ago. Wands are associated with the element of Fire, and the theory is that fiery energy flows through the wand into our physical reality. I don’t know what I was thinking (probably that the wand wouldn't do anything) and I held the crystal in my left hand and pointed the wand at it.
