Controlled Remote Viewing with Lyn Buchanan

Last year I signed up for a class on Remote Viewing. It was pretty cool, not that different from what I had done before even though the approach is a lot more structured. You start with a blank piece of paper, write down a number for your RV target and then go through a series of questions that are answered intuitively.

Read about my first remote viewing class {link} to get a better idea of what it's like. I only took the beginners level class and would love to go back for more. My tutor was Debby Kay Edwards. I do hope she publishes a book one day with all of her exciting stories, tutorials and intuitive advice. Visit Debbie Kay's at silentwhispers.com.

This interview with Remote Viewing expert Lyn Buchanan will give you an idea of how it's been used.

Peace and Prosperity on Earth

It's been two weeks since my last post and that long since my last radio show. Thank God for impromptu vacations, they make life more interesting, don't they? Now I'm back and ready to get going again. I'm also getting ready for my New Year's Resolution in 2015, which is to live life as a joyful, abundant and compassionate human being. I'm halfway there but it could be more conscious. The resolution was brought about by a comment on Facebook. Thank you Denise for this question:

What is the purpose of us being here? I mean really - if we are infinite beings why would we choose to come here to experience disease and violence and sadness, even it it comes with joy and love too?

Now that's a biggie, one that I don't know the answer to. When I tuned in, I got this overwhelming feeling that "it" was never meant to be that way. The sadness, the violence and the suffering is not part of any master plan that we are meant to experience, and maybe, just maybe, our souls choose to come to Earth because they know that things can be different. We have a choice, as individuals and as a society. I also got the sense that most of the suffering we see in the world has been  created by humans, and we inflict it on ourselves, on each other and on the planet. Again, it was never meant to be this way. We can create a different reality for ourselves.

The question them becomes, how? I asked upstairs, as my healing tutors used to say, and got three words in response: history, economy and compassion. I'm guessing that the first word references our socio-political history. What have we done in the past to create the inequality in the world? Poverty is largely the result of our economic and educational systems. So is the damage we are  currently doing to the planet. This also brings me to the concept of economy, which I interpret as Prosperity: enjoying an abundance of health, wealth and happiness. It's about covering our basic emotional, mental and physical needs so that we can individually pursue activities that make our heart sing. Not necessarily about the Louis Vuitton bag, or the fancy car. What makes a country prosperous, what makes you feel prosperous? There are lots of levers we can pull on the road to prosperity, whether it's work ethic, manifesting or joy.

The last reference is probably the most important one, and that's compassion. I don't foresee violence, suffering or unhealthy competition disappearing until we make changes that will benefit all of the players involved. Being compassionate and merciful is about helping someone when you have no "personal" reason to do so. Maybe they messed up and found themselves in a tough spot, maybe they're from a different race or nationality, or maybe you feel that helping them would come at your own expense. This last "maybe" can be the trickiest, but if we shift our mentality from one of scarcity to one of abundance, we'll realise that its possible for both sides to prosper. People often ask if I believe in God, and I do, but I would much rather believe in humanity. When we believe in our own power, we'll see the solution to these problems. Stay tuned for more on peace and prosperity, as we count down to 2015!

My Happy Path's Online Yoga Studio

I'm pleased to feature this guest post by Shanie Matthews from My Happy Path. Her plans for an online yoga studio are pretty amazing. If you like her pitch, please support the Indiegogo campaign to get it off the ground. I received a month-long subscription in exchange for this post.

Olympic Valley, CA - For the past eight years, Shanie Matthews has been helping thousands of people improve their mental and physical health through her My Happy Path website (www.myhappypath.com). The site, which has 2,700 Facebook followers, offers online mediation, inspirational stories and health advice. Matthews wants to take a giant leap forward and transition her website into a full-service online yoga studio. This online yoga studio is really just the beginning of the dream, though. Her bigger vision is to have the online yoga studio that is acting as the face for her developing nonprofit, My Happy Place, which is creating empowerment homes for trafficking victims.

"Other online yoga classes are available on the Internet," she said. "What I am doing is unique. I'm offering two yoga classes, a guided meditation and a corresponding affirmation that are all interlinked, focusing on a specific empowerment theme. No one else currently online is combining the three. The goal is for people to become healthier and happier."

Matthews has mapped out a schedule of online yoga classes and subjects that will be covered. "Each week will spotlight different ways we can embrace our highest self," she said.

The schedule includes:
  • reducing fear
  • expanding calmness
  • releasing stress
  • enriching the relationship with inner self
  • letting go of anger
  • connecting with forgiveness
  • nurturing the heart

Matthews has found yoga to be an effective healing tool in her own personal life. "In the last two years yoga helped me recover from a divorce and a serious leg injury," she said.
"This new website will help people become healthier and happier in their daily lives. And with the increase in happiness, I'm hoping it will overflow into creating places of empowerment for those forced into trafficking, so that they may find a nurturing way to their own happiness."

A weekly package of these tools will go for $11 and that includes access to past videos. There will be an introductory offer of free access for two weeks and a yearly membership is $89.95.

MyHappyPath.com will need some technical upgrades in order to offer these new services. Matthews estimates that she'll need $5,000 to develop platforms for membership services and streaming videos. Funding is also necessary for business expansion and licensing fees. In order to generate this start-up capital, she has launched an Indiegogo campaign, which can be viewed at www.indiegogo.com/projects/my-happy-path-online-yoga-studio

Donations of any amount are welcome. For a $25 contribution, backers will receive a three-month subscription to the new site. A $100 pledge is rewarded with a one-year subscription, a healing stone, a downloadable meditation session and a set of limited edition My Happy Path cards.

Intuition vs Imagination: How to Know the Difference

I'm behind with the transcript from last week's radio show. Life got in the way but back on track! The topic was how to tell the difference between intuition and imagination. There will be moments when we wonder if the message we receive is wishful thinking or fear. While I am still figuring this out for myself, these tools have helped me find my confidence. Without further ado, here they are ...

1) Say What Comes to You

If you are giving a reading to someone else, whether it is an oracle reading where we look at cards - or a clairvoyant reading where images come to mind - just put the message out there. The best we can do is to trust what is coming to us, no matter how goofy or illogical, and just say it. This opens up the channel through which we receive information so that more of it will come through. There is a certain degree of risk to the ego in readings. Our ego doesn't want to be wrong, to lose face. Just go ahead and say it, you can also take the pressure off by telling the recipient that you're unsure about it. Its the best way to learn.

A couple years ago I was sitting in a clairvoyance class. One of my classmates was connecting with my spirit guides to give me a message. She saw a wizard, but pushed the image away when she thought it had to be her imagination. I had been seeing the same wizard, and I had also pushed him away because I thought it was MY imagination. Luckily she mentioned it as a laugh, and wouldn’t you know, the message was to trust the wizardly image and listen. He was there to teach me about manifesting, co-creating and healing. So if something ludicrous comes to mind, say it anyway.

2) Ground and Clear Yourself

Of course when we are reading for ourselves, it can be harder to make that distinction, which brings me to the second part of the answer. Intuitive thoughts that scare us are usually our ego/imagination. In my experience, if our angels want to alert us they do it in a matter of fact way, without fear. The more grounded, clear and protected our energy is, the less we access that side of our subconscious.

Or you maybe you got an message that sounds an awful lot like wishful thinking. Play the Lottery! Go to the Casino! Wouldn't that be nice? If it sounds too good to be true, slow down and do a sense check. Ground yourself, be realistic and sleep on it.

3) When in doubt, ask for confirmation!

We can ask our angels, our guides and our intuition to confirm the message with a sign. Tell the universe to show you three butterflies, or three green cars in the next hour if the message you received is real. Make sure the sign is relatively rare but not possible. If you are going to be in a room with no windows for three hours, a butterfly might be hard to come by (unless it randomly pops up on your computer, in an email or on a screensaver, etc). Set a time limit, a day if you can wait. An hour if you can't. And relax!

You can also ask your body for confirmation. A friend introduced me to the idea of the human body as a pendulum that gives yes or no answers. Stand up and lean back just a bit, so your weight is on your heels and you’re teetering off balance (somewhere safe, please!) Start by saying a phrase that is 100% true: My name is REGINA, for example.  When you tell the truth, your body should tilt forward ever so slightly. Then go with an obvious lie: I was born in outer space. Your body will tilt backward quickly, careful not to fall down!

When you get the hang of this, you can use it to test your intuition on the go. Otherwise you can also use angel cards, tarot or another oracle to ask for confirmation. With tarot card you could set the intention that odd numbers are yes, even numbers are NO and all the rest are "we don't know/or can't answer" If for example, you pull the Five of Swords it means YES, while cautioning you to think it through. The suit of swords is about mental acuity, planning and the use of reason. The details may need ironing out and revision before moving forward.

Bonus Tip on Clairvoyant Images ....

One of the first classes I attended was with a wonderful teacher named Sue Allen - we were introduced to archangels and teacher guides that day in a workshop that consisted of clairvoyant meditations. Sue told us that when we ask to see the angel or the guide, and an image came to mind, just try to change it. If it is real you won't be able to manipulate the image - it keeps switching back!

For example if we see a pair of big dusty angel wings and try to make them look light and fluffy (the way we think angels are), the wings will go back to heavy and dusty. When an image is real, it reverts to the original image. If it comes from our imagination we are easily able to change it. That particular tip has come in very handy. And always, we ground, clear and shield our space before meditating to be sure we only connect with angels and guides that are there to help us heal and evolve.

Heart Chakra Healings

Today I am going to share one of the tools from my Self-Healing, Cancer & Love book (available here). The passage is about the Heart Chakra meditations, and how we can send the energy of unconditional love to any part of our life. It's also a nice followup from last week's post on Releasing Negativity

The heart’s capacity for love may be one of the most powerful healing tools at our disposal. Love heals fear, anger, anguish and other unpleasant emotions. It can also revitalize the spirit. I am not referring to romantic or familial love, which is loving someone because of who they are to us. Instead, it is universal love and appreciation. Recognizing and cherishing that spark of light in yourself and others. Some people find it easiest to describe this concept in religious terms, telling us that God, Jesus or Allah are about unconditional love – and wouldn’t it be nice if everyone lived that way. We wouldn’t have separation, judgment, discrimination, blame or guilt. Healing these qualities, as well as anger and resentment, is precisely what we need to find peace and harmony.

On a personal level, Heart Chakra meditations can be profoundly healing. I like to imagine a soft violet flame filling my Heart Chakra with warmth. The flame transmutes the energy in my Heart to unconditional love, filling it with warmth until it overflows into the rest of my Chakras and to the physical body. If I run into resistance, in the form of fear, pain or anxiety, the violet flame releases it too. Nothing to worry about. This technique also enables me to extend that violet flame to any people or situations around me who need it. To do this, I visualize a similar violet flame filling their Heart Chakras. From this place of love it is easier to handle any personal issues that resurface during self-healing. We merely observe them from a place of love."
