My First Remote Viewing Class!

Yesterday I had my first Remote Viewing class!  It was really cool. We didn't go into the full on protocol or the theory, just a practical exercise. We started with a meditation to open up and protect our energy.  At each step, the tutor affirmed that we are going to achieve our dreams and goals. You are safe, etc. Its good to hear that, especially when I am trying to boost my confidence :-)

Then we took out a blank piece of paper. On the top right corner we wrote our name, the date and our location. This grounds you in the moment and tells the universe what location you are reading from.  Time and space don't really exist the way we perceive them. That is why time flies when you have fun and it drags when you are bored. Also, thanks to Distant Healing and the nature of our energy and attention, its easy to know that you can be one in one spot physically, and somewhere else mentally.

Next the teacher told us who we were going to read today: the classmate our left. I made a note of her name and then jotted down the time. Again, a marker that serves to situate us in time and space.

The exercise was simple, unemotional and and easy. We turned our attention to the blank sheet and wrote the classmate's name with the word colors underneath. Then, with the tip of the pen placed firmly on her name I asked, "What are her favourite colours" ... The answer came in a visual, I saw a green and pink pen that I used to have (and loved). The words green and pink kept flashing. I asked if there was anything else and saw a sky in my mind. So I wrote light blue, only to have the word sky blue come to my mind. All along the feeling I got about the exercise was to "run with it." It didn't matter if I got these all wrong. It is just practice. That kept the jitters away.

We moved on to repeat the exercise, asking about their favorite fragrance. I heard the word Jasmine. Is that too obvious, I wondered? Just wrote it down. I, Regina, couldn't remember what Jasmine smelled like anyway so I didn't think I was projecting. Next!

We asked about the music they listened to and the first thing that came to mind was a huge violin. Classical music, loud and crashing. Then the words concerto. I wrote it down even though I thought it might be my imagination. I like classical and instrumental music and recently discovered Lindsey Sterling who I can only describe as inspired. Look up her Phantom of the Opera piece on Youtube.

Next we asked about their favorite foods. What they eat. I kept getting italian: spaghetti and meatballs, even the red and white checkered table cloth that is common in Italian tourist traps. The word buttery also came to mind. I wrote them down. We went on to ask about relationship status, if they had kids, what hobbies they would enjoy and what their dream holiday would be.

When that was done, we we went through the answers. If it was correct, you put a checkmark. The fact that we got to verify our impressions  there and then was pretty amazing. Especially because we weren't asking emotional or private questions, which can be touchy. Most of us are happy to say, yes, orange is my favorite color and I do not smoke. Etc.

So I got the colors, the dream holiday, the music, the fragrance, whether they had kids, and the marital status correct (mostly). I was wrong about her smoking. And when it came to food and hobbies, the results were odd. She strongly disliked meatballs and Italian food, though she had lived in Italy so the concept of italian food struck a chord with her.  I tapped into something but I am not sure what.

Then, the hobby I saw was something she had been very interested in as a child but never pursued. So again, I might have tuned into the past or maybe I was just off. All in all, it was pretty cool. I am pleasantly surprised with Remote Viewing and with the experimental nature of the subject.

Next week we are going to learn the remote viewing protocol in more detail. I felt less pressure than I do when I am giving a regular reading. Maybe I just need to trust what I get and put it out there.

Thought Experiments to Create Your Reality

Yesterday I purchased a book called E-Squared, by Pam Grout. Energy experiments to prove that your thoughts create your reality. So far, so good.

The first experiment tests the hypothesis that an invisible force exists in the Universe. Some people call it God though the author scoffs at the idea. A human construct. I still like the idea of a loving God that reaches out to us. Not sure I want my relationship with God to be all scientific (cause and effect), the way Pam describes it.

Nevertheless, the book looks promising, lots of fun too. The first thought experiment tasks that supreme life force to give us proof it exists. Within a 48 hour period. We ask for a blessing to come into our life in the next 48 hours. I placed my order on Sunday night and am eagerly waiting for it to come. It is fun asking for proof and the fact that it is a surprise makes it even more exciting.

This wasn't the first time I experienced miracles and lucky coincidences. Synchronicity has been a big part in getting me to believe. The most marked was four years ago, when I started calling on angels for help. I was running late to catch the train out of Paddington on my way to work. My boss was based in Italy so she usually wouldn't notice. She was in that week and I didn't want to be horribly late, so I urgently asked Archangel Michael to delay the train for me.

The exit from London underground into Paddington is through an escalator. When you are coming up, the first thing you see is the clock. It was 8.03. My train was scheduled at 8.06 and I still had to buy my ticket. I looked at the departures board, my train was slated for a timely departure. At that moment, a split second later, it flashed DELAYED.

I couldn't believe it! Thank You! I ran to get my ticket and was on the train a minute or two later. The board switched back to On Time and the doors closed right behind me. It took off on time, so thankfully no one else was late either.

Online Healing and Meditation Lessons

One of the things I love about London is all it has to offer. Museums, theatre, parks, sightseeing, and truly global cuisine. What I didn't expect when I moved here, was to find a school (two, actually) where I would learn to flex intuitive muscles that I didn't know I had: the Aura and the Chakras. It wasn't even on my radar, so expect the unexpected.

It has been amazing. The past four years I have been lucky to take in-person energy healing and psychic development courses. As well as a fantastic Reiki Master-Teacher course with Michael Kaufmann at the Wren Clinic. Being able to further my spiritual education is one of the reasons why I don't want to leave just yet, despite the fact that the food and the weather are so much better back home (aah, sunny Mexico). Maybe someday they will offer online courses. Live. With a tutor.

Can these techniques be taught online? I think so. It also dawned on me that I would like to try teaching. I love learning and sharing, which is why this blog exists. So let's give it a go! Most of the  energy management and self-healing techniques I described  in my book can be taught live, online. Starting next month, I am going to pilot Google Hangout lessons with 4-6 students per class.

I am still brainstorming the lesson plan, but the gist of it will be how to ground yourself, work with your Aura and your Chakras and start to open up. It can be fun, enjoyable and very helpful. The intro level  will include the essentials in energy work. And from there we can try either intuition and readings, or self-healing through meditation. I will post a more detailed explanation this week so stay tuned!

It is funny, the past few months I kept getting the message that I have to teach. But I always thought this would be further down the line. My guides tell me I know enough and can start now! OK! :-)  It is time to move in a new direction!

Recycled Plastic in Pillows?

It's been a while and I thought I should pop in to say hi. The past few weeks have been hectic! I rented a new flat, finally. Then when I was all set to move in, I hurt my back doing absolutely NOTHING. I have spent the past week and a half recovering, with a lot of help from a wonderful osteopath. It was amazing really (osteopathy). I will write about it when I am settled in again next week. I am feeling very grateful.

Today I went to Ikea to do some shopping. The flat I rented is furnished and I don't need much. Towels, rugs, pillows, sheets, some things for the kitchen, etc. I left with what I could carry and placed an order for a little meditation couch. The highlight of my trip was choosing a pillow. It took me 30 minutes to decide on one. Who knew shopping for pillows could be so complicated? Especially when the product names are all in Swedish and you have no clue why  one Gosa #$%@ is different from the next Gosa @#%. I went back and forth between 3-4 Gosa pillows and couldn't tell the difference, other than how thick they were.

In the end, I went for eco-friendly pillows. My new pillows are stuffed with recycled PET. Sound familiar? PET is plastic found in plastic water bottles, Coke bottles, etc. It's not as uncomfortable as it sounds. It feels like the pillow is full of styrofoam chips. It moulds to the shape of your neck and head. Let's see how I sleep tonight. I owe it to the planet after all of the Evian and Coke bottles I've bought and recycled. Someone has to use recycled products. Otherwise we are just creating a more junk but feeling better about it. So let's buy recycled! Recycled paper. Recycled pillows (though the jury is still out on the comfort).

Writing My Life Story

It's been a week since I last posted. I am still on a break from my classes and somehow that gives me a little less to write about. Also, I haven't actually moved into my new place yet. I think I am waiting until I am settled in again before I get to work. The past two months or so I have been on holiday. But that ends on Monday when my new flat is clean and ready for me to move in again (procrastinate, much?)

Today I also realised I am more than halfway done with my second book. So exciting! Two years ago I started writing up my blog in book format. Why I left Mexico, how I wound up in London, how I stumbled upon healing and intuition, and everything that has happened since then. I hadn't looked at the word document in months. I have 200 pages written, a lot of editing to do, and dozens of blanks to fill in. I'll have a second book to publish in a year or so, maybe less.

Today I spent a couple hours reading through the rough draft. I don't remember writing it, seems like I was a different person back then. It was like time traveling back to 2011. I think I have a better understanding what makes the universe tick now. It also brought back memories that I didn't write up the first time around. I am excited about writing again, this will make for a fun read! Hopefully, I'll be done with the draft this year and I can publish it in 2014.

How cool is that?

A Personal Guide to Self-Healing, Cancer and Love is Here!

I received my first set of paperbacks in the post yesterday! I am starting to feel like a genuine author now. It made it feel real. It was pretty amazing to hold it in my hands, finished product. So exciting! What I have enjoyed even more is getting feedback from family, friends and readers. Especially from those who have in some way been affected by cancer. The most consistent feedback is that reading the book has prompted them see their experiences in a different light. And that it helped.

So far, so good.

I'm hoping more people find it too. Kindle makes it easier. The e-book will be part of another freebie day on the 28th and 29th of August, 2013. For two days it will be absolutely free to download. Please send the link and/or the description to anyone who might need a book on healing and cancer. All of the techniques described are simple to follow, and complementary to medical. Because they focus on mental and emotional well-being they can be helpful for family, friends and carers too (we all need a break)
