How to deal with a blocked healing hand?

A couple weeks ago a classmate told us she kept getting burning sensations between her palms and elbows when she was healing, the teachers told her she had blocked chakras in her palms and that the energy was accumulating. She had it cleared and that was it.

Yesterday I had a similar sensation in my arms when I was healing one of my case studies, I hadn't even stepped into her aura and already I felt a strong rush of energy down my right arm. The left arm took longer to "turn on", I then stepped into her auric field (after grounding, protecting, attuning and asking for permission to heal her).

When I put my hands on her shoulders everything was fine, moving on to her crown I used my left hand and didn't notice much, if only a strong tingling on my right hand. By the time I got to her brow and her throat I felt shooting pain in my right palm. I stepped back and just held the energy in her auric field, I couldn't quite step in because I felt that pain in my right hand.

After a couple minutes I tried again and stepped in to work on her heart chakra. Placing both my hands on her heart chakra, I felt the pained sensation in my right palm and then both of my hands started to get very warm. I could feel energy filling my hands, forearms, and then rushing up toward my elbows. Mind you she was lying on a yoga mat on the floor, and I was standing next her. I am nearly 1.78 cm tall (5'10 for my American friends), so my hands were more than five feet from her physical body all along.

On occassions like this I have heard my classmates say they will hold the energy because they are unable to do any healing, and instead ask their spirit guides or angels to come in and do the healing. I always ask Archangel Michael and Archangel Raphael to sit in on any healings for my benefit and the clients, so I stepped back and let them clear and heal her energy as I couldn't.

When that was done the energy shifted to the rose quartzy feel that I often get from angelic healings, and I came back into her auric field to ground her and to close her down. Needless to say it was a very interesting session, and I liked taking that back seat and letting the angels to the work. After the session I cleared the client's energy with my Alaskan Essences Protection and Space Clearing spray (flower essences!) And did the same for myself and my flat.

So off she went and then I sat down to clear the energy in my arm, once again asking the angels to pitch in and help. Throughout I felt lots of energy going back and forth between my forearm and my palms, with actual muscle soreness in my elbow. Even now my arm feels like I played a lot of Nintendo/Tenis, but the chakra is cleared and I can feel the energy flowing again. During the healing I wasn't sure what was happening, think some of the energy might have been too much for me to clear from the client and then having my strong healing arm out of whack didn't help much.

Heart Centered Living

I have been centering from the heart for the past few days, and it makes a huge difference. I feel calm and unshakeable.  I've also been taking my lovely Bach Flower Remedies to clear out my emotional body and connect with myself again.

One of my classmates gave me a great reading last week, reminding me that I'd lost touch with this heart center and with the calm that had  grounded and centered me in the past. She told me to stop worrying about the little things, and to make an effort to stay balanced.

The past couple of months I've been so wrapped up in all of the things I want to do and when they need t happen, that I forgot to just be myself.

Am I really tired of healing?

Today I told my supervisor that I'm getting bored of these healings! Bored or tired, not entirely sure but the realization surprised me. What the hell is going on? We see so many fun things in class, I should be practicing lots of new psychic-intuitive tricks during my sessions. Instead I found myself bored to be following the same crown-brow-throat-heart-solar plexus-sacral-root healing sessions. And that's what we need to graduate, but for some reason it was just killing me with boredom.

As far as the formulaic healings, when we're accredited we start working intuitively so I won't have to follow my ABC's during a session. Though I will probably scan the chakras when I tune in at the shoulders to make sure I heal all the relevant bits and pieces. I am looking forward to that freedom!

My teacher suggested that I pay attention to the clients that provoked that bored feeling, if I want to call it boredom. And that I ask if it's my boredom, or if it's theirs. On other occasions I've felt other people's sadness, their fear and their regret (why don't I sense their happy emotions?) This boredom could be something that I am sensing in them during the healing, will have to pay attention. It could also be my own baggage that I have to deal with.

Today I had a great healing.  I tried some medical intuition, cleared energy from the aura and then I focused on a few organs and sent them healing.  Wasn't the least bit bored, it was pretty cool even though my clairvoyance isn't as active. All in all I really liked it, so I will pay attention to my bored little feelings if they come back.  Will keep you posted on this, all in all I'm happy to be back in form. Wasn't sure what I would do with energy healing if I got tired of it half way through the course   =)

Calling in the Angels

A couple weeks ago I called on Archangel Raphael in one of my healings, my intuition said to use the techniques from my angel healing class. The client had complained of pain in her lower back and it made sense to bring Raphael in as he removes pain and helps with healing overall. Before we started I let her know that we had learned a new technique in class and that the energy might be slightly different from what she'd experienced in the first sessions. I didn't tell her that I was calling on angels to boost the healing as I am always unsure how much to share and where the credibility line breaks.

While I was tuning in I asked for permission to heal her and asked Raphael to come in. Then I stepped into her aura and put my hands on her shoulders, trying to sense Raphael's presence but no such luck . After a few minutes I figured it wasn't going to happen this time and moved on to clear her crown chakra.  I put my hands over hear crown and had a flashback to one of our meditations, where we visualized out crown opening up and sending rays of light upwards. This light from our crown  radiates upward to connect with  divine light, establishing our connection to Spirit/God/Source. The image prompted me to raise my hands and leave more space between my hands and her head, with ample room for a fully developed crown chakra in between.

At this point we had a visitor! I distinctly felt Archangel Uriel's energy, very light and shimmery with a hint of blue. I also recognized his low key approach, and though I physically stayed in healing mode my mind stepped back and just watched. I could see her crown really open up with Uriel's touch, and the light extended upwards connecting her to Spirit. I was there for a few minutes just watching it, before I got the intuitive push towards the brow chakra. At first I had my hands on either side of her head, but after few seconds I moved my left hand to the crown and left the right on the brow, about 10 inches off the forehead. The energy from my right hand went through to the back side of the brow chakra, but there was also a connection between the brow and the crown.

After the brow was done I moved on to the throat and also sensed Gabrielle's energy, but to a lesser extent. I spell Gabriel as the female version because that's the angel that I sensed. She worked on her throat and then prompted me to strengthen the connection between throat and heart. This was the last of my angelic influences, and when I was done with the chakras I went on to balance all 7 chakras by placing both of my hands behind the heart and them moving them out so that my left hand ended up over the crown, and the right hand under the base. This is always my fave part of the healing, I will see energy flowing up and down the center through each of the chakras and they will usually be lit up. In this case I felt we needed it to make sure the seven were well connected, and that I wasn't going to dial up just the crown-brow and throat-heart connection. The solar plexus shouldn't be left behind! Nor should the three earthy chakras.

The big learning was that I can't expect to know who or what the client really needs, and that rather than call on a specific being I should ask that anyone that needs to show up, show up. Its always a pleasure when Michael makes a surprise appearance, kind of like catching a glimpse of a rock star. It was really cool that Uriel and Gabriel showed up and I am glad that I have gotten to the point where I can recognize them and not freak out by a foreign energy. My only request upwards is that one of the archangels show up if a new acquaintance comes in, to make sure I feel at ease. One of my teachers had a shock the 1st time Melchizedek popped in for a spirit release session. Melchi is dark in color and has a very low, slow energy. Low enough that he can absorb and drag away tough spirits. He's the 1st example that comes to mind when I hear the adage that "Not everything that shines is good, not everything dark is bad." In that instance Melchi was brought in by Archangel Michael to make sure he didn't scare away the healers. I am to get the same reference check for 1st time encounters with light beings.

Working with the Immune System

A couple months ago I was reading a book called Quantum Healing, by Deepak Chopra. At one point he discusses our body's amazing ability to heal itself. With a little bit of time our body will heal broken bones, bruises, cuts, bites, scratches, etc. Our immune system also send out antibodies that are programed to Seek and Destroy specific cells, if they pose a threat. So these brilliant antibodies are programed to destroy infected cells and bacteria, without harming all of the other good cells out there - or even attacking the wrong "sick cell". Everything is intelligent, precise, controlled.

From there he goes on to ask, if the body can do something as miraculous as heal a broken bone, why does it struggle to overcome an illness like cancer? My response is that for most bodies, cancer is new and unexpected! It takes a while for our body to recognize the signs and feedback to the sensor cells that defend against infection and malfunctioning cell reproduction.

As we speak I am reading up on the immune system, specifically how our cells learn to  Seek and Destroy a "baddie".  To make a long story short each have millions of cells. Every cell is programed to perform a specific task, some of them act on their own while others work together.  For example, we may have thousands of cells, that in turn make up muscle tissue in our lungs to help us breathe.  The cell's I'm interested in however, are the Lymphocytes (hereafter called Lone Rangers)  that our body will program to Seek and Destroy a specific antigen (hereafter called a Rebel Cell).

This could be a chicken pox cell that needs to be eradicated, a cancer cell or some bacteria. However, our Lone Rangers are sitting around waiting to be given an assignment, and the body has to program them to perform a specific task - kind of like the Terminator in the 1st Movie.  If the disease in question is brand new - as is often the case - the Lone Rangers aren't made aware of the pending threat until a generic antibody finds it, fails to eradicate it, and brings a piece back to Base Camp. At this point the Rebel Cell is identified, and a contingent of Lone Rangers are programmed to Seek and Destroy that specific cell, and no other.  I'm not sure what determines the success of the Lone Rangers, but my intuition tells me we have a few factors going against us from the outset:

Practice Makes Perfect: If we've run into this Rebel Cell before we know how to kill it, and the body will be much quicker to defend itself. There are special "Memory Cells" on the lookout so that the body can react quickly if a particular Rebel Cell makes a come back. I imagine this is why we get vaccines, put a small dose in your body to get practice before we're exposed to the real thing.  If we run into an aggressive disease like cancer, and it's completely new our immune system has a steep earning curve to get past.

Time Delay: It takes a while for this process to run, if the Rebel Cell is aggressive it will multiply over and over again before the Lone Rangers are sent out to kill it. And there's that learning curve, if it's a particularly tough Rebel - say for example a cancer cell - it could be quite a battle! I'm also wondering how the body knows how many Rebel Cells are out there, and if it could be understaffed?

What's causing it?  I've always had the conviction that cancer is related to a very deep unprocessed emotion, it can be anger, depression, rage, jealousy, envy, etc. This belief of mine might be due to the fact that I'm from Latin America, and I've grown up hearing comments about how so-and-so died of cancer, and their relatives talking about the emotional aspects that led to the disease's onset. My belief is that the cancer will not fade away until that root cause - the negative emotion - is cleared.

So what do we do with all this?

I'm guessing we have things like chemotherapy and radiation because  medicine  has to make up for these setbacks, giving our body a  chance to fight off the spread of the dis-ease. These treatments make up for the Immune System's lack of experience and/or the time lag. The drawback with some of these approaches, is that man made drugs aren't programmed to Seek and Destroy a specific  Rebel Cell. They attack every cell in the body, lowering the body's defenses and leaving it weak, tired and nauseaus - this observation was also raised by Chopra in Quantum Healing.  It's just a fact of life.

Right now you're probably asking yourself why I am writing about this on a Psychic Development and Energy Healing Blog? I had a flash of inspiration when I was reading all of this fun stuff on T-Lymphocytes, Thymus Glands and our personal Emergency Response System! Wouldn't it be awesome if we could use Medical Intuition  to tell our Immune System how it needs to respond.  For example, we could tell the Immune System what to expect from the threat, where it's located, if it's spreading, what areas of the body need to stay "clean" to prevent spreading of the disease, etc. One of the precepts of Medical Intuition is that our body talk to us if we learn to listen, but we can also give it healing and information on any level.

For now I only have an idea that is starting to hatch in my brain, I like this idea of communicating with the body, and with the Immune System in particular to give it healing and guidance. I'm still not sure where that guidance comes from, can we download it with the universal energy? Do we ask upwards? Or can we collaborate with the medical community to tell our antibodies how to respond?

An Impromptu Altar

A couple weeks ago I tried a different meditation. I have a little dresser table that i have been wanting to use as an altar, the main purpose is to consecrate a space to my own Spirit and to make my meditations prayers rather than psychic experiences. After all this is about spirituality and healing, not clairvoyance and telepathy for their own sake. So what I did was clear out the clutter on the table and lay my purple tarot cloth out. But then I noticed the energy on my couch was heavy, after all I have spent the past three days working from home on that couch. My 1st idea was to cleanse the room with my new quartz pendulum. I pulled it out of its  purple pouch and walked around the room using my wrist to flick it in circles and push the energy away.

The thing with energy is that you will find it where you least expect it! There was some excess energy on the couch but where I noticed the most furious spinning was near the front door and the loo (toilet, for those of you that might not speak "British").  This part of my flat is closest to the building’s staircase, I think at one point it was just one big house and then they divided it into flats.

The walls are paper thin so when people go by, it sounds like someone is inside my apartment. My neighbors seem very friendly on the surface. I haven’t had any trouble, but what I have noticed is the smell of cigarettes coming from nearby. There have been one or two occasions when I actually thought there was a fire! It didn't surprise me that the pendulum went crazy when I approached that area, their image was the first thing that came to mind.

By then I regretted not buying sage or a spray cleanser at the corner mystical shop in. It didn't feel like someone's energy was hanging in my bedroom anymore, but the energy was still heavy. The image of a priest sprinkling Holy Water over his congregation came to mind. My grandmother has a little flask next to her front door and she always sprinkles us with Holy Water before we leave her home. Of course, she doesn't bless it herself. The priest does. My next thought was to bless my own water and cleanse my little London flat. The past life priestess in me thought - Why Not??? I ran to the kitchen to get a glass of water - and now that I think of it the energy in my kitchen is always very clean and airy! Maybe its because the window is white, it has a huge window and there are no linens, wood or materials for the energy to penetrate. My landlord left the cutest porcelain cups in the kitchen, they have peached painted on the sides.   I filled one with water and placed it on the night stand. The purple cloth looked really empty with just the tea cup, so I added a rose quartz and finally all of my chakra crystals. I grounded, connected and used my quartz wand to cast a protective circle around me. Don't know what came over me! We use white light in my classes, sometimes I will visualize a beam of light that cuts through the room like the transporter from the Star Trek series.

I went on to visualize light falling on my little altar, cleansing and purifying the stones and the water. In my mind I kept repeating the words ground me and fill me with light. After a few minutes I dipped my hands in the water and sprinkled it over the altar, then around the bedroom and in he direction of he corridor where my neighbors energy had collected. It was a really cute and peaceful experience and I was left totally relaxed. I usually try to make contact with my guides or angels, and in this case I used my wand to draw a looking glass above the altar, giving them a space to speak from. It was a really nice experience and I saw one of my female guides, she came to me with a message that I've had on more than one occasion. The energy was very light, floral and friendly. I'm a sucker for protection so I make sure my gatekeeper and the four archangels are always present before any other light being is allowed to make contact with me. Otherwise you can get nasty surprises.

There was one unpleasant surprise when I was done clearing the energy with my pendulum. I noticed something moving in my direction, a big hairy spider!!! Ick!!! I got up, put my rain boots on and squished it. What do you think that meant? I took it to mean my cleansing had shaken out the cobwebs. That night I had an insect infested dream that was also freaky and somehow it left me all shaken up. In the dream I had a ringworm under my eye that i was trying to ignore, but my sister kept pointing it out. And then my mouth was also somehow infested. Disgusting. The bugs I am hoping were just a figment of my imagination. The meaning didn't come to me until I was writing up this post, but I think it had something to do with our dirty laundry coming out of the woodwork when we least expect it. It's better to be open and honest and face our fears before they take over.  This isn't the end you were expecting but that was how my meditation went (with a few details that I want to keep to myself).
