Did You Notice Your Angels Today?

A couple weeks ago I ran a simple poll, asking my readers what they'd like to know about angels. The intention was to channel a post, or even several posts, on angels. The #1 question was a pleasant surprise:

How can we help the angels do their job?

The angels love this question! It has so many layers. Angels have a huge job to do on earth: healing, guiding, protecting, and inspiring us all. I love my angel classes because they give me a chance to strengthen that connection with the angels. The more you practice, the easier it is to sense their energy and to receive intuitive messages. Angels and Spirit Guides alike can be very specific and useful. An angel reading isn't about seeing the future or asking if/when something we want will happen. Instead, we get pointers from a "friend" who sees a bigger picture. My angel classes are about channeling these messages, for ourselves or for other people. Here's an example:

A couple weeks ago my sister came to visit me in London, and I brought her along as a guest. My classmates took turns giving her readings. Most of the messages were about her life purpose, her career and how she can  open up to give and receive even more good things. These messages were all about her life on a grand scheme. One of the messages, however, was so mundane that it made us all laugh: "Careful when you cross the street." The  classmate who got this message hesitated, but it couldn't have been more relevant. My sister lives in New York and she's not used to cars driving on the left side of the street. She's also airy-fairy and sweeps along the sidewalk in a careful dance. Would she notice the signs at the crossings that say "Look Left" or "Look Right"? Possibly not, especially if she's jet-lagged. I'm glad my psychic classmate passed the message on.

The reading helped my sister's guardian angel do the safekeeping side of their job. She freaked out for a second, but she remembered. Otherwise, her angel would have followed her along London's streets, making sure she turned her head at the right moment. My sister's angels probably have a lot of practice with this already (as do mine!). At a very basic level, we can make our guardian angel's job easier by taking care of ourselves. They want us to be grounded, aware of our surroundings, and aware of them. How do we go about developing that awareness? A relevant question for another post!

Channeled Angel Messages

Dear Readers,

I thought it would be fun to post a Channeled Angel Messages directly on the blog, for those of you who may not have Facebook.  The format is similar to the Interactive Color Readings I've done in the past. Have a look at the shapes and tell us  which one stands out most to you. The colour and the shapes have been chosen to illustrate each of the readings. I'll post the messages in a day or two,  so don't forget to come back for them. Any feedback is also appreciated.

Feel free to comment here or on Facebook  =)

And here are the messages!

Orange Pac-Man:  The angels tell me you're very hungry these days. Hungry for life. Hungry for Love. You are more than ready to take a big bite out of Life. I've chosen the color orange because it is the color of our sacral chakra, which links to passion, sexuality and also appetite for more.  The sacral chakra is also closely related to our ability to experience abundance in daily life. The angels want you to know that all of this is yours for the taking.

You may have noticed that the circle is missing a wedge. This does not mean the circle is incomplete. Instead, this wedge represents your ability to receive abundance for the universe. Having a little empty space is good. Like Pac Man, we all need to have some room left for dessert. The real message behind the orange shape is two fold. 1) Don't be greedy. 2) Make room in your life for a nice little surprise from the universe. If you're "full" you won't be able to receive it, and that surprise might go to someone else.

Blue Rectangle: In my mind, this shape was meant to be a white  canvas. Its very hard to make white standout against a white background, so I opted for pale blue instead. The messages is still the same: Life is What You Make of It! We all start out with an empty canvas and life throws things at it. Some of them are nice, others not so much. Every now and again, we're given a clean slate. This is what the angels want to give you right now, but they need help. It would be of no use to receive a brand new canvas, and muddy it with the same water we've been using all along. Now is the time to clear limiting beliefs and mental patterns. Let go of resentment, anger and regret. Give yourself a moment to heal, and then pick up the brush and start painting again. A new day has come. I love this song by Celine Dion, so let's leave it at that:

Green Rectangle:  Every now and then, we get stuck in a limiting mental pattern. It happens to everyone. You look at the same math problem too many times and you stop seeing the answers. In my case, I've spent too many hours poring over my new book and its not making any sense to me. The message from the angels is to stop and take a breather. Sit down outside. Let the air clear your head, and then come back to your problem with a new perspective.

It's also time to start thinking outside the box. Go back to your most basic assumptions and question them to see if they hold true. If you're struggling with a choice, ask a friend to point out the flaws in your thought pattern. A fresh pair of eyes can shed light on some of the questions you've been reviewing in your mind. Take a break and ask for a little help from your friends   =)

Lightning Bolt: This is about divine energy and that spark of life we all carry inside us. The angels suggest that you take some time to reconnect with your divine presence. You are a loved and special child of the universe. The angels also suggest that you think, speak and act with this in mind. Every last part of our being can and should be a reflection of our true self. It is time to start bringing that consciousness into your waking life. This doesn't mean living up to the ideal of a perfect person; rather it is about loving and accepting yourself exactly the way you are now. To quote Lady Gaga (again!)

"There's nothing wrong with loving who you are ...
cause [God] made you perfect, babe."

My First Psychic Readings

Two weeks ago I gave my first psychic reading to a complete stranger. Quite the experience. It was during class at my psychic school in London. This class is also the reason for my 21 Days of Angel Readings on Facebook, we have to practice channeling as homework! Over the Internet I use Angel Tarot cards to prompt the message, especially if I'm not familiar with the person I'm reading. Otherwise it can be tough to sense their energy at a distance. In class we don't use props. No questions, background, or general area that they want to inquire about. We do get a name from them, and that's it! We ask the angel to tell us what they most need to hear, and then we start talking. Each reading lasts a whole 15 minutes!

This wasn't the first time we had guests in class. There are usually 1-2 people who come in for Circle Readings. The group sits in a circle and meditates before starting. Each person gives a 3-5 minute reading. My sister came along a few weeks ago as a special guest. It was fun for me because I could tell that the readings were accurate as we went along. There was also a story arc to the readings, so that each person had a different piece of the story and we only got the full picture at the end. There is less pressure in Circle Readings, as you're only up for a few minutes and then it's someone else's turn. The meditation lasts 10 minutes; more than enough to get a message. We also learn a lot about how to phrase readings by listening to the other students in the class.

Circle Readings are pretty cozy. The one-to-one readings don't have this buffer, though its nice to have more time. Two weeks ago we had our first set of guests for one-to-one's, and I was lucky enough to practice on three people. I got a little bit stuck with the first one. Initially I rejected the image because it was also a hobby of mine. When I finally decided to mentioned it, the image was relevant. What else? I skipped the 2 minute meditation at the beginning. This made it harder because I found myself receiving images and talking at the same. The next reading was easier. I got three distinct images, though I had to prod her on the messages that didn't seem accurate to make sense of the reading. By the time I got to the 3rd guest; I was glad to be done. This time I saw three scenes in a forrest and described them literally. When we got to the end she understood what it meant. She was also told me my clairvoyant images were metaphors, which helped. It only clicked when she realised the reading didn't involve her hiking in the woods. I had a lot of Aha Moments! after this practice session.

This week we had our second group of guests in class. I took my time before each session, meditating until I got clear visuals. With one of these I asked the Angels to show me three cards from Doreen Virtue's Angel Tarot. They popped into my mind and I went on to describe them. The reading was surprisingly accurate, though at the end I got a little bit stuck when we started talking about what it all meant. That feeling of being stuck belonged to the guest. I didn't realise it and just felt a little helpless. Everything the psychic feels is a reflection of the client. When the last guest sat down for a reading, I was similarly stuck for a minute or two before I realised the sensation I was getting didn't belong to me. At that moment I was able to push it aside and get the rest of the message. It was pretty interesting because the more you practice the easier it becomes. In a lot of ways, sensing the information is similar to what I do in my energy healing. Those impressions help me direct the healing session. During psychic readings, those impressions tell me what to talk about. The intuitive signs are there, I just need a little practice recognising them. =)

Can Deepak Chopra Save the Economy?

Deepak Chopra  launched a series of guided meditations focused on abundance. Its nicely called the 21 Day Meditation Challenge. There's a well known psychology theory about how long it takes to establish a habit in our minds. If you do the same thing everyday for 21 days running, the pathways in your brain are rearranged to make this recurring activity a habit. In the current economic climate, this series of meditations will be very helpful for thousands of people. It's particularly relevant for me as I start my healing and writing business. Kudos to Deepak for taking steps to shift the collective unconscious in a positive direction. Barack Obama, David Cameron and the rest of our global leaders could thank Deepak for pitching in on this one. =)

I’m a philosophy major, not an economist, but economic theory tell us that the wealth of a nation expands and contracts over time. Economists track the Gross Domestic Product which is the sum total of all the wealth that's been generated by the private sector. On another level, the stock market reflects people's expectations about the future. It rises when the financial world is optimistic, peaks it gets carried away and falls when the bubble bursts. The past five years have seen all three stages. Our political and financial leaders have a big job to do. They need to bring people back to a state of realistic optimism. Otherwise, consumers pull back on spending because they worry about financial problems in the future, which leads them to believe they need to stock up on cash. This limits the flow of money in the economy. It's a vicious cycle, because cautious consumers generate fewer business transactions. Companies find it harder to turn a profit, which may lead to cuts across the board.

Though many people are having a tough time now (or are worried about having at tough time in the future), there is still plenty of potential to create abundance and wealth. Just look at Apple, who has seen record growth over the past couple of years. They sell gadgets at a premium price, despite the fact that we managed to do without them for years. And people love them - heck I love my MacBook Air and my iPod. What sets Apple apart is the inspiration and the purpose behind their products. Steve Jobs may not have been the nicest person, if you read his biography, but he had a clear vision and it paid off. I'm guessing he had overactive brow and solar plexus chakras. The brow is linked to clairvoyant vision, and the solar plexus moderates our levels of aggression towards others. These two chakras are energetically linked, and when I read his biography these qualities stood out. We don't need to go to Steve's extremes, but we can still be successful. A shift in consciousness will put us on his side of the fence.

Good job Deepak! =)

I'm running 10 days late with Deepak's meditations. Listened to Day 3 this morning. Before you tell me off for being a slacker, my internet's been down! What a coincidence though - The mantra today was: Today, I focus on what I want to attract into my life.  I've spent all week drawing my vision board, and this series of meditations will help me bring it to life. The next 3 weeks I'll do one meditation every day. When I'm inspired I'll write about it too. I'll try to keep my commentary brief, so that I can carry on writing about my angel readings, healings and other stuff. This has turned out to be a busy month, with 21 Days of Meditation thanks to Deepak, and 21 Days of Angel Channeling on my Facebook page! Sometimes it's entertaining to have a lot going on.

Thank you for reading!

How to Manifest with a Vision Board - Part 3

This is the 3rd in a series on Vision Boards: Read Part 1 HERE

So we're back for the finale! In my last post I described the 1st half of my vision board, which includes a healthy energy body, well developed intuition and my 1st book (soon to be published!). The last thing I described was a neat little Reiki Symbol, which somehow morphed into a bicycle. I suppose the question is, where does Reiki fit in this image?

I somehow found myself drawing a picture of this blog, underneath the bicycle. There is a picture of me on the landing page. It may have been an Author Biography. The page stats on the left read 500K Page Views, and the Facebook buttons have lots of marks. I’ve also drawn a published copy of my 1st book, an Energy Healing guide for cancer patients called Healing Cancer with Love. The cover is pale blue, with a big red heart on the cover and a sun shining out of the corner. The sketch makes it seem as if I'm releasing it, sending it out into the world. The book leaves a misty blue trail as it goes, with little red hearts and gold coins. The hearts represent healing for the readers, and the gold coins are for abundance. The coins may indicate a low price: a couple pounds. Maybe this can help me share it with as many people as possible.

Up to here, we're half way through the vision board. Next to the book I dropped in a newspaper.  The cover reads New York Times bestseller. To the right of this newspaper, I drew a certificate for energy healing. Interestingly enough, I'm sitting for the energy healing accreditation in May. Could this mean a best-seller is waiting for me, in the next six months? The images just popped into my mind as I went along, and I was pleased to see the layout when it was finally over and done with. Lots of potential this year!

The bottom right hand corner of my vision board has a nice little collage. I drew a pink swish for Isis, goddess of love, healing and magic. You might also see Merlin in a purple coat, holding cards, crystals and a pendulum. I also drew a brown hat that belongs to my spirit guide. Below the pink swish I drew a pair of brown sandals, leaving a trail of steps for me to follow. These images are punctuated by a pair of musical notes. Finally, I drew something that looks like a wedding cake. I'm not really a bride though, as I'm wearing a purple dress. There's also a puppy next to the couple. =)

Here is the drawing of the vision board! I hope that teaching by example worked, in this case. I started out with an idea of what I wanted to include, but now exactly how. My imagination filled in the blanks, and I was left with a board that includes all my wishes!

How to Manifest with a Vision Board - Part 2

Six years ago I drew a vision board and just about everything on it has come true. You can read about it in Part 1 by clicking on the link mentioned above. This has been a huge blessing. Since then I've evolved and have managed to outgrow my vision board. Last night I sat down to create a new one. It's always a fun experience, sitting down with a pile of colored pencils and a sheet of paper. Most of the things I've drawn are reminders of the abundance and potential around me. Some of the things I've drawn are just a swish of color, for example a blue haze to signify Archangel Michael. Others I've drawn in detail. I'm not a cartoonist, so I'd like to describe it before posting the picture. What matters is how I see it in my mind, that is what the universe will mirror back at me.

The vision board follows a chronological order, starting with myself on the left. The right hand side of the page depicts images that will take longer manifesting. I'll describe it from left to write, which might make the story easier to follow. The 1st image is a colourful stick figure. This is me! I've drawn a big smile on my face, and arms that reach out to accept everything on the vision board. I've also illustrated my chakras, not as they are now but as I want them to be. For example, in the picture I am grounded. I have well rounded root, sacral and solar plexus chakras. The sacral chakra emanates orange energy, for abundance. My heart chakra is buzzing, and my throat, brow and crown chakras are clear. I’ve drawn a movie screen in front of my brow chakra. This represents clairvoyance. There is a clear channel between my crown, brow, throat and heart chakra. Finally there are four swishes of color over the back of my crown chakra, each for a different Archangel:

-       Dark Blue for Michael = Protection and Courage
-       Gold and Green for Raphael = Healing
-       Pale Blue for Uriel = Clarity and Direction
-       Green for Gabrielle = Communication

There is a little surprise at my feet: an old fashioned pen, in a pot of purple ink. It represents writing, intuition and spirituality. The proximity also indicates that its at my disposal now. Amazing! =)

To the right of the purple pen, you’ll see a funny looking bicycle. Both of the Wheels are made of Reiki Symbols. I wanted to include a symbol for healing, and this was the only one I could recall. At some point I made this into a bicycle, though I'm not sure how it happend. I took this to mean that I am to jump on the Reiki bandwagon. It will take me places. The bicycle flies up a blue ramp towards the right. That ramp ends with the words Buzz Light Year (To Infinity and Beyond!). This gives me a solid boost, and it ends in a very interesting place! We'll come onto that tomorrow, when I describe the 2nd half of the vision board. You'll also get a sneak peak at my dazzling creation.
