Manifesting with the Moon (A Meditation)

Two weeks ago a friend threw herself a "meditation" to celebrate her birthday. It coincided with the Full Moon in Pisces. There were about seven of us there, from different healing paths. The birthday girl enlisted her meditation teacher to lead the session, a healer by the name of Claudia Lettuce (Lechuga in Spanish). It was pretty awesome. We started with a group meditation where we visualised the birthday girl filled with love and all sorts of blessings. Then we went onto do individual contemplations, thinking about things that we would like to manifest in our own lives. The trick was to think about things that the Heart wants, not the ego. The ego wants status, security and maybe it wants a fancy car or a fancy house because it thinks the house will provide that. The Heart yearns for a loving home, it doesn't care about how its built or how big it is, etc.

The rest of the evening was a treat! We were given a set of magical tools to help us manifest our wishes. You can do this at home on the next Full Moon. All you need is a smooth stone, a citrine crystal, a pack of flower seeds, your wishlist and a personal item of sentimental value (to be gifted to someone else).

Step 1: Full Moon Meditation

Find a comfortable place to sit, ideally outdoors, and close your eyes. Visualise a bubble of starlight around your. It covers your aura from top to toe, protecting, clearing and illuminating your energy. Visualise yourself sitting in a beautiful nature spot, with waterfalls, flowers and all sorts of vegetation around you. Connect with that nourishing energy, and be grateful the gifts the earth has to give us. Feel yourself filling up with love, light and natural abundance. Next, take your to the Sun and the Moon, our source of power and intuition. Each solar return marks the start of a new year in your life, full of opportunities, while the waxing and waning of the Moon can help us fall into sync with the natural rhythms of life. Over the next two weeks, we are going to consciously let go of the past, our fears and our comfort zones: anything that no longer serves us. By making room for new joys in our lives, we give our dreams space to flourish.  Visualise yourself receiving your Heart's desires. Know and trust that they will come when the time is right. Thank the Universe for the blessings it continually provides.

Step 2: Plant a Flower

Now comes the fun part! Ideally, you'd carve your wishes on the rock to make it tangible, but we didn't have the tools for that. Instead, we used The Power of Intention to write our wish lists on our rocks. Next we went out to my friend's garden and planted the Citrine (for Abundance), the rock and the flower seeds, before patting it down again. I added a bit of Reiki, visualising the flowers growing tall and thanking the Earth, the Elements and the Sun for their help.

Step 3: Giving is Receiving

When that was done, we went back inside for the gift giving. Like I mentioned earlier, we had each brought along a personal item that had sentimental value, to be gifted to someone else as a symbol of detachment. What goes around comes around, and by giving a gift that we were fond of (and might have kept), we tell our subconscious that its OK to let go. I had brought along a deck of oracle cards, one of my favourites, by Caroline Myss. And one of my first as well, I hadn't outgrown it but it was time to let go. Funny thing is I received TWO WONDERFUL GIFTS, a statue of the Lebanese mystic St Charbel, (see here for details), and a butterfly key chain that is absolutely stunning. So even before the night was over, I received two unexpected gifts. I'll keep mum on the things that I asked for, at least till they come true!

If you'd like to try this meditation at home, it can be lovely to do it in a group. Otherwise go through all of the steps and just be sure to give the gift as close to the Full Moon as possible (a two-day window should be OK). If you're not sure what to manifest, connect with Archangel Sandalphon to ask for advice.
