Update: A Personal Guide to Self-Healing, Cancer & Love

My book was updated this week to include new data on emotional risk factors for cancer and what that might mean for preventative health. Just a few paragraphs, but it helps to put energy healing into context. As most of you have the eBook, you can update it in your Kindle Account.

Energy Healing for Emotional Support

A Personal Guide to Self-Healing, Cancer & Love provides a fresh perspective on the challenges faced when we or someone we love is diagnosed with cancer. We often start by asking why it happened and what it means. Inevitably our biology, lifestyle habits and emotional wellbeing all play a part. For true healing to occur, we need to make changes on many levels.

The book goes onto explore Energy Healing as a friendly booster for tired souls, equipping the reader with simple tools that can be used daily to facilitate their personal healing journey. The pages turn quickly, infused with love, courage and optimism.

The book is on Amazon Worldwide 💙

Using Quartz Spheres To Amplify Our Intentions

I remember wanting a crystal ball years ago but not knowing how to use it, or even if it would work, whatever that means. I was clueless but nevertheless intrigued by these spheres that sparkled in the sunlight.

In movies, we see gipsies with quartz balls while they do tarot readings, and they are meant to amplify our intuition, whether we use them for scrying  (scrying is when we gaze into a crystal ball, a mirror or a bowl of water and begin to see images) or just let them sit on the shelf.

Every now and then I sit down to meditate with my quartz sphere and while it is pretty cool because your intuition is enhanced, this isn't how I usually use it. Quartz spheres are my go-to crystals for intention setting.  Often I will set one on my nightstand in front of an image, a picture that reminds me of something that I want to create, attract or better yet, amplify.

Why A Crystal Ball?

The idea is for the quartz crystal to amplify that quality in my life, whatever it is. For example, right now I have a nature scene on the table behind my quartz sphere, it reminds me of peace, stability and healing. We can work with clear quartz in this way because its molecular structures amplifies whatever intention or energy we program it with, and spheres radiate that energy in all directions. We can give a specific intention more power by lighting a candle and meditating on the image whilst holding the sphere in our hands and filling it with light.

What A Feeling!

The key is to focus on the feeling behind the visualisation - and to ask the universe to bring that feeling into your physical reality (while also asking your intuition to guide you in taking the right steps to make it happen). This is actually quite easy when we learn to ask for our Heart's Desires and not the Ego's.

Last year I gave a reading where Manifesting kept coming up; specifically, how easy it had been for the client's family to score last minute tickets and freebies to see some of their favorite bands. When it came to other "wants" like a business venture, or a new car, the process was slower. The message that day was about the bliss we feel when we are at a concert and how it is not a stepping stone to anything else - you just want to enjoy the moment. If we want to manifest other qualities with that same level ease in our lives, we have to connect with the end goal (or the end feeling) and not an item that we think will fill that gap.

We manifest our Heart's desires quicker than the Ego's because the Ego wants security and mistakenly focuses on things that appear to give security, whereas the Heart senses abundance and taps into it effortlessly. I also believe we receive answers to our prayers through the Heart Chakra. This is why gratitude makes such a big difference, and why envy tends to diminish our experience of abundance ...

The Manifesting Meditation...

If your crystal is new, you will need to clear it first - although I would recommend clearing and charging it anyway to focus all its energy on this new intention. If you don’t have a crystal, visualize one like mine ✨
- Begin by grounding yourself, you can do this by visualising tree roots growing out of the bottoms of your feet into the earth.  Surround yourself with diving light, and then use all of your Heart and Soul to focus on something that you would like to create in your life. To do this effectively you have to focus on the feeling that you would experience in a given situation, instead of the thing that you want to ask for.
- Hold the quartz sphere in your hand, and visualise a stream of clear light flowing down from above, into your Crown Chakra, down through your Brow, Throat and all the way down to your Heart. Feel your intention in your Heart, and as it begins to overflow that energy and those visuals travel down your arms to your hands into the crystal ball, where it is amplified so that the feeling fills all your cells.
- Visualise that clear light coming down from above, and see it changing color to a green, pink or gold. It takes shape inside the crystal and comes to life in your mind's eye. Put the crystal ball back on the shelf and intend for it to continue radiating that energy out, in alignment with the highest good. When that situation comes to pass, you can thank the crystal, clear it and fill it with light again.

It is also worth mentioning that our fears and beliefs can block certain things from coming to fruition, and this is where self-healing comes into play. There are different ways to go about it. Byron Katie's The Work has proved to be really useful for me. If you have my Chakra Healing & Magick book, I would also suggest looking at the section on Affirmations in Chapter 3, as it approaches the verbal and emotional sides to stating our intention and putting our energy into it.

If you have crystals of your own that you'd like to work with, be sure to clear and charge them first, especially if they weren't cleared when you first acquired them. Read Chakra Healing & Magick for more on healing, manifesting & crystals.

What Can Tarot Cards Tell Us?

Last week I was so excited to learn that Amazon had launched in Mexico - we can now order books without having to pay ridiculous shipment fees. To celebrate, I bought myself a new tarot deck!

The deck is adorable: The Everyday Witch by Deborah Blake. The pictures make you feel like you are in a storybook - full of witches, potions and adventures. In psychic school our teacher encouraged us to pay attention to the images and not to look at the book (which I don't entirely agree with, as an author and blogger). Deborah's book is fantastic and it puts the meanings in everyday words.

What Can Tarot Cards Tell Us?

I tend to read tarot intuitively, viewing the images as if they were scenes in a children's book with images  and no words. This lets you intuition speak when you connect with the characters and how they feel. This particular deck makes this approach easy, and we can also turn to the book for help if we need clues.

There are several ways to work with tarot cards. I always begin by clearing a new deck with white light and intending for it to connect with my Higher Self. Be sure to ground, clear and shield your energy as well as the space where you find yourself (See Here)

With that done, we can try:
1) Asking For Guidance: We can think about a situation and ask for guidance, intending for the tarot cards to tell us about our present circumstances and any considerations that we may not be aware of. This helps us make intuitive decisions, though its always good to check with your Heart and see how it feels. We bear with the consequences of our choices; the cards help, but our own instincts take the lead.
2) Divination: Essentially, here we ask about the future. I personally have not done this as often because I believe our decisions influence the future, but if we have specific questions such as "when can I expect a job interview" it helps. In these cases, I always ask how best to navigate the situation and for any advice that leads us to success.
Creating Your Future: If we are familiar with the cards and what they represent, we can also use them as vision boards, intending for the scenes to unfold as laid out on the cards. Always specify that you want 'this or something better' because the Universe is crazy creative =)

We can combine this with the manifesting tools in the 7th & 8th chapters of my Chakra Healing & Magick bookYou will need a tarot deck and based on the book's theme, The Everyday Witch is a fantastic choice, not to mention how cute the pictures are.

Homeopathic Reiki Remedies for Beginners

A few years ago I completed my Reiki Master training, which is a fancy way of saying that I'm now qualified to teach Reiki. Our teacher gave us lots of printed information with practical applications and last month I went back to look at my notes.

I found a section on homeopathy!

I had forgotten about this, but our Reiki teacher provided two different techniques that we can use to charge water with Reiki and use it for self-healing...

The first involves visualising what we want to create - health, peace of mind, the absence of a headache, etc - while holding a bottle of water in our hands and infusing that water with Reiki. This hasn't worked well for me, I barely notice an effect.

The Law of Similars

The second option was to use the so-called "Law of Similars" from homeopathy, assuming that like repels like. Instead of focusing on what we want to create (wellness), we use Reiki to fill that water with the energetic imprint of the symptom.

So far, this technique has worked wonders for me. I have been using it primarily for PMS and I am very happy with the results! Last week I published an article with OM Times Magazine on how to create your own homeopathic remedy {READ IT HERE!}

If you would like to try this but you haven't been attuned to Reiki, the healing techniques in my Chakra Healing & Magick book can also be used. Just turn to Chapter 5, Exercise 3 and once you have grounded, attuned and protected yourself, follow the steps in my OM Times Article. Please comment below if you have any questions. And a reminder! Reiki and Homeopathy are complementary to medical care, not alternative (let's make the most of both worlds...)

One Last Thought!

I had the pleasure of listening to Masaru Emoto at a conference in London a few years ago. We learned about the vibration of water and how it is able to absorb emotions, thoughts, and mantras. If you're not familiar with this work, it is beautiful. Emoto’s book, The Hidden Messages in Water, is available in most bookstores.

Please Note: I have a history of DVT and most conventional treatments increase risk of blood clots. My doctors have advised against conventional treatments for hormonal imbalances and PMS. Energy Healing and Intuition are complementary to medical care. Please visit a doctor if you are experiencing symptoms.

Why Listening Is An Art

It's funny how certain things come along when we need them - and in the weirdest ways. Four years ago I was finishing up my energy healing studies and while the program was very comprehensive as far as chakras and spiritual healing were concerned, I felt I needed some counseling skills too...

At the time I had just signed up to volunteer as a Reiki practitioner at a cancer support center. One day my supervisor asked if I would like to participate in a Buddy System - essentially as someone who sits with patients and talks to them when they need a listening ear.

During the training we practiced different skills that could help us listen to people and respond without coming across as judgemental, or without letting our fears, insecurities or prejudices get in the way.

Applying 'Listening Skills' in Daily Life

I have spent some time thinking about how we can apply these skills in our daily lives, especially if a friend needs emotional support. Below you'll find ideas!

Giving our undivided attention is often the hardest part. Even if we manage to switch off our phones and find a quiet place to chat, our thoughts are a constant distraction. How do we go about quieting the mind?

1) If you are going to be sitting down with a friend, make a list of everything that you need to do that day/week before you see them. If anything pops up during the chat ask your angels to take note. They make great project managers!

2) Half the time we are thinking about our response before they are even done talking. Take the pressure off by acknowledging their feelings instead of looking for a solution. For example, "I'm sad this event made you feel this way, how annoying!" acknowledges that they're going through a tough time, without trying to wipe away or repress their emotions.

3) Your attitude is what matters most. We can help by checking any beliefs, attitudes and ideas about what is good/bad at the door. Be kind, be loving, and be objective.

4) If your companion seems confused, help them order their thoughts by repeating some of the things they said to make sure you understood. Rephrase it and point out a different way of looking at the problem without changing the facts...

5) Let them know its OK to share feelings and misgivings. Demonstrate it with your posture, your facial expressions and by nodding rather than saying "spill the beans"

In a nutshell, deep listening is about paying attention to feelings, body language and words while offering guidance only when asked specifically. Let them share their feelings without trying to change what they are saying or spinning it to make it more comfortable...

Reiki hugs,

Regina
