Co-Creating with the Archangels

In 2009, I discovered a book that made me take astrology seriously- Jan Spiller’s Astrology for the Soul. It uses reverse psychology to help us find happiness outside of our comfort zone. The path is found along the North Node of the Moon (your soul’s north star). It blew my mind; in my case, I had to be less of an Aquarius and let myself shine. Be more of a Leo.

I was so enchanted with Astrology for the Soul that I read another book of hers on New Moons. Here Jan teaches us to time our vision boards and affirmations so they correspond with the Moon’s zodiac sign. So for example, if you want to give your love life or social life a boost, you would wait for the Moon in Libra or Taurus, as Venus rules both. The Moon gives us an extra oomph.

After a few months I went back to the Archangels - they can help us 24/7. I am not discarding moon phases because they can be powerful, but we might as well call on the Archangels to get traction with our plans. There are a whole host of angels that we can call on, today I'll focus on the ones that support our efforts with courage, synchronicities and healing. Enjoy!

Finding Your Courage

It should come as no surprise that courage is Archangel Michael’s domain. He is the patron saint of armies, police officers and firefighters, bringing courage and also honesty and integrity to professions of service and protection. Michael can give us a friendly push when we are stuck in our comfort zone. Ask him to ground your energy and fill you with courage, direction and clarity. He can also grab our attention when an opportunity arises so that we don’t miss out. If we are doing too much he will give us a time out, as pushing too hard can be counterproductive. Michael can help us find that delicate balance.

Catching the Wave

As a kid I loved boogie boarding. It's like surfing, only you lay flat on your stomach even after you’ve caught the wave. Being in the right place at the right time often meant catching a big enough wave and riding it to shore. If you were too far out, no amount of paddling would get you there in time. The universe works in a similar way with different forces carrying us forward, or passing us by if we are no where near enough when the wave breaks. This is where I like to call on Archangel Raziel for help. Raziel is the keeper of secrets, especially where universal energy, metaphysics and astrology are concerned. He can teach us to work with these energy currents, bringing them closer so we can ride that wave.

Archangel Raziel is an expert magician who works closely with Archangel Orion. I have an odd story about Orion. Two years ago I went on a workshop where the facilitator tried to make her job more interesting by poking fun at us during group readings. I left after that session because it made me feel very uncomfortable - in school, we were taught to be mindful of how we did readings in public. Before she began her reading, she did tell me that I had a team of star guides who were popping in to say hello. They wanted to say that I was a Teacher and not to forget them. She suggested I connect with the star Sirius, but when I tuned later, I got the word ORION.

This was two years ago and I hadn't given it much thought. Last week I went for a power walk before my angel intuition class and the Sirius vs Orion question came to mind. Once again, my intuition pointed me towards Orion, and a few seconds later I turned a corner to see a construction truck with the name ORION spelled out on the side. What a coincidence! A few hours later I went to class. We were connecting with an angel that I had never heard of: Archangel Orion, the Manifesting Angel. He is associated with the Orion belt, and we can work with him to tap into the star power in the Universe.

According to the Sefer Yetzirah, an ancient Kabbalistic text, angels work through stars and planets to reach us. I believe the team of star guides above were angels of the stars *

Be Ready to Receive

The last point is about feeling worthy of the things we desire, and this is where a lot of us trip up. The good news is we can work with Archangels Haniel and Chamuel, the Angels of Healing and Unconditional Love to boost our self-esteem, our sense of worth and heal our Heart Chakras. Energetically we tend to receive anything "good" through our Heart Chakras, and we can also learn to co-create with the Heart by meditating with pink crystals. Archangel Haniel is also linked with the Moon and we can connect with her to get a better understanding of how our energy stands. You could say that grounding your energy and healing the Heart should be first on our list, without it we risk creating wonderful things and not allowing them into our lives.

Blending Intuition & Logic ...

Our intuition is the gateway to creativity and problem solving, giving us ideas that we can pursue. Those intuitive visions give us glimpses of potential futures and solutions - but it’s on us to follow through with practical assessments before taking a leap. There have been plenty of times where my intuition gave leads that didn't work out, and I wound up going down another route. At the end of the day, we are each responsible for our lives and reap the rewards of the work and gutsiness that we show. The idea is to blend intuition, logic and action as we take take the lead in our lives.

Understanding Your Life Path with Astrology

I am taking a fantastic Astrology class this term with Demian Allan. It's a new world for me (I’d only been interested in my own natal chart LOL) and my book-nerdiness has me reading loads to catch up, even though technically, it's a Psychic Astrology class and we are supposed rely on our intuition to figure out how the planets feel in the signs.

I think I now have a decent grasp of what the planets and houses represent, it's what happens when they are in motion that I'm curious about. Especially transits, where we study the current path of the planets and how the interact with our birth chart. A few weeks ago I discovered a website called Astrology Club that offers lots of free reports, and I've been checking my transits. Could they really correspond to my feelings, motivation and personal energy levels? Last month I was feeling unusually discouraged when transiting Mars (action) was in opposition to my Neptune (dreams), pushing me to be more pragmatic. To top it off Saturn and Neptune are squaring off in my natal chart too, it's kind of like walking a tight rope.

Anyhooo, the theory is that transiting planets make short but powerful aspects to our charts. They push buttons and open doors for us, and when they are gone the effect disappears. What we call hard transits represent growing pains (squares and oppositions) whereas so-called positive transits (trines and sextiles) bring harmony, good luck and opportunities. The easiest way to get the hang of this is to check your transits and just get a feel for how they relate to your mood on a daily basis. I also found a great book called The Joy of the Zodiac, by Amanda Starr. It's a jewel of a book; small enough to fit in my purse so I can look at a friend's sign over coffee. This makes the process easier as I am not keen on memorizing it all.

I had already heard of planets, houses and signs, so big surprise for me were progressed planets. The theory is that if we study the path of the planets through the houses and signs during our first few months of life, we can use that progression to forecast our personal evolution. So for example, when I was born, the Sun was at 26 degrees Aquarius (the zodiac is divided into twelve 30 degree slices) and it moved into Pisces on the fifth day of my life. The theory behind progressed planets takes each real day for a year, so my Progressed Sun moved into Pisces when I started kindergarten, essentially adding the sponge qualities of Pisces to my Aquarian nature. My Progressed Sun has spent the last thirty years in the same sign, which may explain why I have been so keen to understand what makes us tick on spiritual and psychological levels. Later this year my Progressed Sun will move into Aries, a sign of action, so in theory my focus should shift to doing something with the knowledge I have gained. We haven't discussed predictive astrology in class just yet, so keep your eyes peeled for an update!

Regina

Pope Francis Speaks up for the Environment

When I was a kid, our local church was on a hill near the ocean. The wall behind the altar was made of glass and through it we could see the sky, the trees, and birds, squirrels or even dogs running by. We were in nature without being exposed to the elements. Every Sunday I tuned out the priest (oops!) and took in the view instead. I don't know if I believe creationism but if I did, it would make more sense to meditate and pray in nature. I find that my intuition is louder when I'm sitting in a park, and energetically it also becomes very clear that we are all part of one living breathing ecosystem.

Somehow we've lost sight of the fact that hurting the planet ultimately hurts us as much as it hurts the environment. This is why I was thrilled to read Pope Francis' Environmental Encyclical last week, an  open letter imploring all of us to take better care of the planet. He starts by referencing St Francis of Assisi, whose name he took, as a prime example of  respect for non-human lifeforms. Pope Francis also condemns the view that we own the Earth and have the right to pillage it's resources. We've been doing it for centuries without any thought for the consequences, which he also lays out:

Climate Change and Pollution: Here he highlights the damage that fossil fuels are doing to the environment and calls on our governments to look for other, sustainable sources that won't wreak havoc on the climate. He also mentions environmental toxins that make people sick and all of the trash that our society creates (though population control isn't mentioned). I think this point has to be tackled at a macroeconomic level although I wouldn't underestimate the voice of the public. It's a shared responsibility we all have, especially when we consider our consumption habits and "brand" loyalties.

The Water Crisis: This is a hard one to wrap your head around, if you think that 70% of the surface area on the earth is water. Fresh drinking water can be hard to come by in some parts of the world, putting human survival at risk and also increasing the cost of our food supply. Also, growing up in California we were constantly told to be mindful of our water consumption because of the droughts. I learned to appreciate rain so much that living in drizzly London for five years felt like a dream.

Loss of Biodiversity: I'm a huge fan of Leonardo DiCaprio's Facebook Page, and even though I love his movies, it's the environmental posts that grabbed my attention. Elephants are in danger of extinction because of the illegal ivory trade, and a lot of that ivory finds it's way to the US through legal misdirection. We know and love elephants so we're moved to action, but as Pope Francis points out in his encyclical, there are plant and animal species that we're not even aware of, and they are likely being wiped out by commercial developments that affect our rainforests and oceans. We don't really know what the implications will be or how it will affect that "global equilibrium"

Quality of Life: Our social structures are also affected when we deplete the earth's resources and build cities that grow into the tens of millions of residents without proper planning for water, transportation, clean air and waste management (especially common in developing nations).  I can attest to this as my hometown has more than 20 million inhabitants and being near one of the few parks is a huge privilege. We need fewer cars on the streets and better urban planning when it comes to new developments. Not being able to drink water without boiling it is also a hassle, so we buy twenty-gallon jugs instead.

I don't know enough about sustainability but I'm keen to learn. So far Netflix and blogs have been my main source of inspiration. There's a great Ted Talk where the speaker starts by Googling "paradise" and he comes up with pristine nature scenes. There's a reason so many of us crave holidays on a remote beach or in the mountains. We have (or had) that, but our way of life is pushing that paradise further and further away. Spending time in nature can also be healing on so many levels and we are shooting ourselves in the foot by trampling our surroundings and pretending that nothing is wrong.

Archangel Ariel's Fertility Tips

A few weeks ago I met up with friends to give them Angel Readings - homework for my intuition class. The reading for Jenny, one of my pals, was enlightening and with her permission I would like to share it here. The word fertility came to mind before I got there, spelled out in big white blocks not unlike the decorations you'll see in a newborn's room. The theme wasn’t a surprise because I knew she and her husband want kids. However, we didn’t expect Archangel Ariel because she is usually linked to flowers and nature, whereas Archangels Gabriel and Raphael look after moms, children and pregnancies. Archangel Ariel's connection with Mother Earth means she is concerned with children, families & harmony.

A Cosmic Adoption Process

It’s been said that we choose our parents based on our life purpose and the skills, handicaps or lessons that we are meant to overcome. During the reading, I got the feeling that harmony and "energy compatibility" will be deciding factors, and that when a soul is ready to be born they are placed in close proximity to potential moms and dads so they can feel their vibes. Our angels and guides shepherd the process (though logically I don't know how this relates to accidental or teenage pregnancies). I got the feeling that Jenny & Hubby were going through this process now and that they just had to be "patient, relaxed and happy" to keep their energy receptive. I also heard the word "conscious baby" but again, not sure what it means. Crystal or Indigo?

Energy Clearing and Balancing

I tend to sense Archangel Ariel’s energy as silver or pink light. It’s easier for us to sense her when we are sitting in a garden or a park: flowers, vegetation and even bees are part of her allure. Her first suggestion was for Jenny to sit in her garden and just ask for her energy field to be cleared of urban muck. The more stressed, hurried and cloudy our energy is; the less appealing it appears to spirit.

She suggested Jenny surround herself with light pink and orange: flowers, jewelry, crystals, clothing or cushions. The colors we wear leave a temporary imprint on our Aura. Pink has a soft, loving feel whereas a orange is linked with the Sacral Chakra (female reproductive organs and fertility) and a pastel orange would have a softer more appealing vibe than a bright orange. No need to do wall to wall pinks and oranges, just a few details here and there. Certain crystals also make the atmosphere more welcoming for the baby; Selenite and Rose Quartz stones have soft, loving vibrations.

Ariel also suggested Jenny drink natural Rose Tea to clear her energy from the inside out, potentially using Reiki or Healing to activate the color healing aspect.

The home environment could also be cleared once a week, to keep the vibes upbeat and happy. Music is great way to do this; listening to classical music balances and clear the Chakras as each musical note resonates with a specific chakra. Ultimately listen to music that you enjoy as like attracts like.

Don’t Pick a Name Just Yet!

Names have a resonance and not everyone wants to be Richard or Anne (even if both are lovely names). Archangel Ariel suggested Jenny & Hubby keep their options open and receptive by waiting before choosing a name. If the first-born is going to be “so and so the third” they may have to wait for “so and so” to appear but otherwise, wait and let your intuition choose the baby’s true name.

Call on Your Joy Guides!

Sleepless nights may be just around the corner. Enjoy yourself, don't stress and let life run it's course. Archangel Ariel suggested that Jenny call on her Joy Guides to add an extra dose of laughter to their lives. We all have Joy Guides, they often look like kids even though they're old souls. If Jenny sensed a child like energy around her it could very well be her Guide - joyful and mischievous.

Practice Detachment

The most consistent advice was for Jenny to practice the art of detachment. Being highly intuitive, she had already begun to sense new energy around her. Archangel Ariel suggested that she let the process follow it's course and that if this wasn't the "one" another would come along. Sometimes we can block ourselves by focusing too much on the experience we want to create. Ariel's parting advice was for Jenny to enjoy herself, clear herself and stay detached.

It's worth mentioning that my logical side kicked in at the end and I suggested Jenny follow up with her doctor just to be sure there weren't any physical considerations to address. Readings aren't a substitute for medical care and there will always be other practical and physical elements to consider.

On a side note, this reading also stood out because I got my first foreign language word. Towards the end of the reading, the message came back to the Cosmic Adoption Process and I got what I took to be a word in Spanish (aclimatizar) that I hardly ever use because I find it hard to pronounce. I mumbled my way through it, only to find out that it’s very close to the German word for the same concept. Jenny and Hubby are both German and intuitively, this "word" was their take on the matter. They were in a “climate testing” stage, getting to know each others energies, etc. The word served as confirmation for them.

My New Healing VLOG

So I have news! For a while now I have been toying with the idea of video blogging about healing and intuition. Not everyone likes to read and sometimes a short video is just quicker. But I'm a behind the scenes kind of gal (and this blog was anonymous for the longest time) so I'd been putting it off. No more! I recorded my first video yesterday: Connecting with Your Guardian Angel. It wasn't as awkward as I expected it to be, although I still feel weird looking at myself on the screen. I didn't have to think about my hair when I was just blogging, lol. Watch it here, and follow this link to OM Times Magazine for 7 Ways to Make Your Guardian Angel's Job Easier. The video only covers my first point in the article, good stuff!

The second is a Color Healing Meditation from my book, A Personal Guide to Self-Healing, Cancer & Love. This is one of my favorite healing techniques. Our intuition speaks to us creatively, communicating with colors that we can interpret to heal and release stuck emotions or anxiety. Feel free to share this with others. You'll notice I used special effects, this was in part due to the crayon theme of the filter, and also because my eyes were a bit too puffy in the closeup. Video blogging still makes me feel a little self-conscious! I need to be careful next time and avoid ending with an awkward pose. So much to learn! ;-)

I am still in London for two more months studying angel channeling. Hopefully I'll have lots to talk about. My goal is to record a short video almost everyday until I get the hang of vlogging. For example, in the Color Healing Meditation I slipped up and referred to the Solar Plexus Chakra as the Sacral (my bad!). It's part of improvising but I hope it won't happen often. Anyhow, I am looking forward to this! Follow me on Youtube and wish me luck! If you have questions about Healing please shout, I'll try to address them.

Hope You Enjoyed this Blog!
