Yesterday I Sent Reiki to the Eclipse (Fright of my Life πŸ˜…)

Yesterday we had an eclipse in Capricorn, which also happens to be my natal moon sign. So I sat down and thought I would draw a Reiki bridge to the Eclipse to download its energy to my life. Not the best idea in hindsight, but it was an experience.

So what is a Reiki Bridge??? Reiki is a self-healing and relaxation technique that developed in Japan 100 years ago. We can use it to meditate, to send healing to others, or to heal our lives.

When Reiki practitioners want to set an intention for a healing session, we draw Japanese kanji (letters) on our hands or in the air in front of us. There are just a few Reiki symbols included in the system, and one of these creates an energy bridge to another location, time or person. This is my favorite Reiki symbol because it gives Reiki so many uses. We can use it to send healing to a difficult experience in the past, or to do well in the future. We can send healing to someone that is going into surgery. It doesn't matter from how far away, you can even send Reiki to the Moon!

This is what I did, about 6 hours after the Eclipse. It was late at night and I remembered that ages ago, I suggested one of my Facebook friends build a Reiki bridge to the Moon each night to see how the Moon's energy shifts as it waxes and wanes, and as it moves through the twelve zodiac signs. The Water signs are my favorites; I am a big fan of Scorpio because it gives us courage to look inwards and transform ourselves. All of the Signs have gifts. We can download the Zodiac's energy in meditation by connecting with the Moon, integrating those qualities.

Last night my goal was to make the most of the Full Moon and Eclipse, letting go of whatever needs to go so that I can move on with my life. The image that came to mind for this eclipse in Capricorn was of Base Camp at Mount Everest, and unpacking deadweight before heading to the Summit.

In meditations I often use a mountain trek as a symbol for Capricorn because this resilient sign has the patience and diligence to put one foot in front of the other and eventually reach the top.

I sat down to meditate, drew the Reiki bridge in front of me and started to feel the Eclipse's energy (I am now wishing I hadn't). It was reallyyyy reallyyyyy intense, which surprised me, because my psychic sensitivity pretty much disappeared 48 hours before the eclipse and I thought it wouldn't come back for a few more days. When I started to feel a rush of energy through my Aura, I asked for the Sun, Moon and Eclipse to clear away fear, unhealthy attachments and karmic ties.

About 5 minutes later, the building started shaking - at first it felt like a humongous bird had slammed into the wall. But no, it was a 2.9 earthquake with its epicenter 16 kilometers away (10 miles); it was the fright of my life though luckily the Reiki Quake only lasted a fraction of a second. It freaked me out and I didn't fall asleep for hours after that. We have had several mini quakes this week in that radius, but the timing on this one shook me up.

When I finally fell asleep I couldn't help thinking how fear has become an everyday part of life in Mexico because of crime and how these ongoing quakes add to the sense of nervousness. Though maybe, they are meant to wake us up and not shake us up (saw that on Instagram).

Reiki hugs,

Regina
