Introducing the Archangels - Part 1

Today we’re going to talk about Archangels!

This is a follow up from last week’s radio show where we learned how to open up and sense our angels. I like to connect with the Archangels as well as with my Guardian Angel. Think of the Archangels as beings with extra oomph!

There are at least seven Archangels, each with it’s own specialty, whether it’s grief counselling, healing, children, the animal and plant kingdoms or life purpose. We can ask them for help when we’re stuck in a particular area of our life. There are at least 7 Archangels: today we'll cover the first four on the list:

  • Archangel Michael - The Soldier: may be the most popular archangel these days. He’s the patron saint of armies, soldiers, police and servicemen and women. We can call on him for courage, protection or an extra oomph. You can also ask him to clear and protect your energy. I’ve asked for his help at work, when our team was at an impasse. And would you believe it? The ball started rolling that very same day! He is great with conflict resolution too. Michael is often seen as navy blue in color.
  • Archangel Gabriel - The Messenger: He is known for stimulating communication, creative expression and fertility. I'm not particularly religious but I have heard the Bible story where an angel appeared and told Mary and Joseph that they'd have a special baby.  Also, some people see Gabriel as more of a female energy (though angels aren't really male or female, strictly speaking. Gabriel is related to both the Throat and Sacral chakras because of their creative and vocal applications.
  • Archangel Raphael – The Healer: Ask for his help with healing on any level. He can also intervene on your behalf with your medical doctors, to help them be at their sharpest and most intuitive. If you ask! Raphael has strong male energy. During healing sessions, I tend to call on both Archangel Raphael and Archangel Hanael. Both healers. Hanael’s energy is very feminine, and working with both angels can help us balance our masculine and feminine sides. We’ll talk about her next week! She is connected to healing, intuition and moon energy.
  • Archangel Uriel - The GPS Angel: Uriel guides us towards our life purpose. He is responsible for lucky coincidences. His energy is faint, hard to discern. It might help to ask him for a visual cue. Take that as a sign that he’s around. In psychic school we asked for Gold Ringlets. =)

So those are the main archangels! Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, and Uriel. We can connect with them directly in guided meditations, such as the ones on my YouTube Channel. Here is one with Archangel Rafael:

It helps if we take turns reaching out to our guardian angel and to the archangels. Once you become familiar with their energy, you will notice them when you are out and about. They love popping around to say hello =)

You'll find meditations with each of them on Youtube HERE.

Reiki hugs,

Regina

I'm Joining a Healing Clinic!

So I am finally renting space in a clinic! A real healing practice. Up until now I have offered energy healing to clients at home (people I know, mostly) and through the Community Cancer Centre in West Drayton, where I used to volunteer.

This past January I moved from the UK to Mexico. Have been settling in. And now I have found an awesome clinic where I'll be giving healing 1-2 days a week! Yay! How exciting! I love writing, blogging and doing readings. But I need to go back to energy healing and have it be part of my "day job" too.

Finally, I will be a full time energy healer, writer, blogger and angel intuitive with her very own Radio Show, to boot!!! So exciting. Feels like its all coming together. Oddly enough the sticking point with the healing clinic was writing up a bio and description in SPANISH which I had never done. LOL.

I am also planning on translating my book to Spanish, while I am here =)

A Past Life Discovery - by April

I'm really pleased to introduce a guest post by one of my angel reading classmates. April gave me the most amazzzing rune reading late last year. She is a talented channeller too.

Buy the Book on Amazon!
I was always very interested in past lives since I was a teenager, I read books, visit people who supposed to have the abilities to see and did everything I could as I was fascinated about the subject. Something that I always knew in my heart, was that I wanted to come and settle in the UK, a feeling stronger than myself that I couldn’t avoid; since I’m from Mexico, it took  me  a lot of efforts and a chain of little (or big?) miracles for it, but that is another story. With my feelings for the UK I was pretty sure that they were a remembrance of a past life and I could feel it in my core; but I couldn’t explain my fascination and curiosity about the Northern countries and of course, that I had my Viking runes since I was 19, even when I only began to understand them recently in the last couple of years (thanks to a  rare workshop I found, there is ever hardly anything related to old Viking oracles and is difficult to find a teacher or a class), so I began to suspect  that I was remembering 2 separate lives until one day a colleague from work that does Reiki had a saying.

This girl and I connected since the beginning and were able to see things in each other we couldn’t realise on our own. One day The British Museum announced and upcoming exhibition about the life of the Vikings and I felt strongly compelled to go so I reserved my ticket straight away; when I informed her about it she started to see and feel things related to it and she said to me: “You will find this very odd, but I can see you raiding to this country, you were a Viking raiding in the UK” I found that very funny and interesting but it wasn't until before the exhibition when it hit me. On my way there, I had this loud and clear word in my thoughts, the name, "Harald"  was pounding in my head over and over and as soon as I entered the exhibition, everything seemed so familiar, their religion, their activities, also Viking women were naturally psychic and that was expected and highly respected. The cherry on top was the existence of this Viking king, called Harald who led raids to the UK. Suddenly was clear to me; I came here within his army like my friend saw in her vision. Women were also warriors, so they would raid along men. Everything was so crystal clear that I couldn’t believe it! All those years trying to find about past lives, only to find little pieces to the puzzle and after more than 6 years of being in the UK, I finally was able to decipher the connection between everything. When you become aware of a past life   is often because it can help you with the present one and more likely you’d bring some characteristics along with you, which for me, apart from the spiritual interests I also brought the strength of the female warriors.

So if you are like me, always curious about past lives and spirituality, all I can tell you is, things reveal themselves on the time they suppose to and you can be sure that when the time comes, the feeling is so wonderful and overwhelming, that won’t leave space for doubts in your mind. You just have to be patient!

A quick note from Regina: The British Museum is a wonderful place to go to trigger past life memories. I had a similar experience in the Egyptian section. Also happened to flip through one of the books in the gift shop and found an awesome explanation for one of my nicknames. =)

Opening Up Meditation (and Connecting with Your Angels!)

Today's topic: “Connecting with Your Angels”

We all have angels. The question is, what can we do to start noticing them? Or to feel and see them? I first discovered Angel Readings in 2011. My teacher was a brilliant lady by the name of Amanda Roberts. One of the first things Amanda taught us how to open up safely before giving a reading. The idea is to activate your energy field so that you can see, hear and feel your angels. We activate our psychic abilities and then close down again afterwards. It takes some practice but soon, the images come through clearly.

Today I’m going to talk you through an Opening and Closing Mediation. The opening up process has three basic steps: 1) Grounding Your Energy, 2) Connecting to Divine Light, 3) Activating Your Aura. SCROLL DOWN TO THE END FOR THE VIDEO

Before we start - an image of the Chakras!

Start by finding a quiet place to sit. Close your eyes, put your hands on your lap. Make yourself comfortable. Take a deep breath in, hold it, and release. Focusing on your breathing makes it easier to let go of your day.

  • Grounding in Mother Nature. Bring your attention to the weight of the chair under you. Feel the ground below your feet. You can do this by visualising roots growing out of the bottoms of your feet, into the ground. They go through layers and layers of concrete, dirt, and rock down to the center of the Earth, where we find a HUGE crystal formation. Your roots wrap around this crystal and soak in it’s healing energy. Feel the energy travel up the roots, to your feet. It brings tingles to your toes, ankles and calves. The energy goes up your calves, over your knees, past your thighs to your Root Chakra. Feel the energy as it grounds and activates your physical intuition. This includes feelings, hot, cold and other sensations. The earth energy continues up from your Root Chakra, through the Sacral & Solar Plexus to your Heart Center. Let it sit there.
  • Connecting with Divine Light. Still firmly grounded, take your attention up to the atmosphere. Visualize a beam of light extending from the top of your head, past the stars, to the purest source of light and love. Connect with that light. Stay there for a moment and then let the light travel down the beam, through the universe, to your Crown Chakra. Your energy body fills with light as your Crown, Brow and Throat Chakra activate. It travels down, to your Heart Chakra where the Celestial Light and Earth Energy mix. Stay there for a few minutes and let it sink in. Our Chakras are illuminated. We’re connected above, and below.
  • Activating your AURA. This step makes it easier for us to sense the energy around us, including angels. Our Aura is usually held close tot he body, about a foot and a half in any direction. Picture it as a bubble of light around your body. We're going to use the Divine Light and our Intention to expand it. Intend for it to fill with light from above, growing stronger and stronger, as it expands. The light clears and protects your energy. Your boundaries are strong, filled with light. Stay there for a few minutes and feel your energy grow stronger. We're almost ready to connect with our angels! Bring your attention back to your Heart Chakra. The grounding roots, light beam and protective bubble are firmly in place. Call on Archangel Michael and ask him to protect your energy. You are grounded, connected and fully safe in your body.

NOW - You’re ready to chat with your angels!

Start by saying Hello. Introduce yourself if this is the 1st time you've talked to them (for your benefit mostly, your angels know who you are!) Tell your angel how you feel. What’s your day been like? Ask for advice or help if and when you need it. And listen. Everyone senses them a different way. Some people get flashes of color, sparkling light or feelings. You might feel an overwhelming sense of emotion or love. It helps to keep a notebook handy and write or draw what you feel. If you do this for 10 minutes each day, soon you’ll recognize their energy. And remember, your angels love you unconditionally. They will always support you. If you ever feel energy that makes you uncomfortable, send it away.  Archangel Michael can also help with this if you ask.

When you’re ready:  its time to CLOSE DOWN AGAIN.

  • Disconnect from Divine Light: We start by thanking the Angels for their help. Take your attention up to that Highest Source of light and disconnect. Your consciousness travels down the beam, through the universe to your Crown Chakra. The beam dissolves as your Crown Chakras folds in on itself, very gently. Bless it.
  • Desensitizing our Chakras: Take your attention down from your Crown to your Brow Chakra. The light switches off and your Brow Chakra folds in, gently. Followed by the Heart Chakra, the Solar Plexus and the Sacral Chakra. Our chakras switch off one by one, desensitizing us to the psychic world. We come to the Root Chakra, between the legs. Now bring your attention back to the Root Chakra, between your legs. It draws in a bit, so we’re still connected to the Earth. Living off its wonderful energy.
  • Close and Protect your Aura: The last step is to draw your AURA in around your body. We began the meditating by expanding, now we bring it back to "normal" size, whatever that means to you. Fill and surround yourself with pink, violet or white light. Check your roots. This keeps us grounded and safe. Bring your attention back to your body, your legs, your feet. Take a deep breath, flex your ankles. Have a drink of water.

And with that, we are done!

This is how we activate our energy for angel readings. Or any kind of intuitive reading! Please let me know how you get on with the meditation. The more we practice grounding (see here) and clearing (see here), the easier it is. And please remember to close down at the end, no matter what you do! =)

A Visit with the Drepung Gomang Monks - by Leslie

I'm thrilled to introduce a guest post on Mandalas by Leslie from Inner Calm Reiki. Leslie is a gifted healer. You can visit her Facebook Page or find her on Twitter (here!). Reiki Hugs, Regina

A Visit With the Drepung Gomang Monks

I attend a small Spiritualist Church, The Journey Within, located in New Jersey. Its humble beginning is a story in itself. Recently, we invited the Deprung Gomang Monks to honor us with a visit and were elated when they agreed to come. The Monks go on tours throughout the states (and perhaps the world), to bring awareness of their plight, share their traditions and to spread a message of peace and unity. Although all of our beliefs may not be the same, during their visit it didn’t matter. You just wanted to be around them. You needed to feel their energy. To be in their presence, you immediately felt the calmness and inner peace that is their very core.

They had an opening and closing ceremony filled with music, chanting and blessings. They chanted for us and we sung for them. It was moving to say the least, and they appreciated us just as much as we appreciated them. In between the ceremonies was when they worked on the most incredible peace mandala. If you’re not familiar, a mandala is a colorful piece of artwork made up of symbols. It may include a variety of religious symbols, elements (earth, wind, and fire), people, etc. Each symbol has a meaning and a purpose.

To create the mandala, a chalk drawing using rulers and string, so that the lines are precise, are first drawn out on a wooden platform. Fine sand is dyed with brilliant colors and inserted into long metal cone/tube like instruments, which the monks then use to gently tap out sand, a few grains at a time. Sections are carefully layered until they become three dimensional. They are precise and meticulous in their work. What it represents to them means too much to allow for error, and you immediately sense its importance.

I sat in our little chapel and watched these talented Monks sit on the ground, legs crossed pretzel style and work for hours on this mandala. I crossed my legs and meditated, totally absorbing the energy from the room. The chanting music playing in the background filling me, and I allowed myself to let go and chant along within my mind. I felt safe and I felt accepted.

In most cases the finished mandala is destroyed by sweeping up the sand and setting it free in a nearby body of water symbolizing that nothing has permanence. The waters are said to carry healing energy throughout the world. Some, like my church, opt to preserve it so it can remain on display. Not an easy feat, but it can be done.

Several weeks after their visit, I was still basking in the afterglow of their energy. Their message of peace, unity and healing is one we should all share. We must do better, be better, be selfless and be more giving. Recognize that there is no I alone and that we are truly one. We need to heal and to be healed so we may all persevere.

Love & Light be with you always - Leslie
