Rewrite Your Life Story with Tarot & Energy Healing

If you are lucky enough to find a tarot coloring book you will have struck a gold mine, as the symbolism in tarot speaks to our subconscious in ways that a pop culture or movie-themed coloring book never will” ~  Chakra Healing & Magick, by yours truly…

Energy Healing and Tarot

One of the key themes in my book is how we would all benefit from engaging with our creativity as part of the energy healing process - whether we turn to music, art, theatre or automatic writing. Writing and drawing are two of my favorite techniques, especially when I combine them with crystals or tarot. Tarot speaks to the unconscious in a way that is profound, and as discussed in Chapter 7, it also helps us focus our energy healing sessions.

The idea is to heal the mental, emotional and spiritual weight of past experiences - tarot brings these to life in a way that is accessible to everyone. We can then combine those insights with energy healing to heal the past, rewriting our story so that we become catalysts for growth, as opposed to victims of circumstance. I offer energy healing sessions that are based on tarot, and this overall approach can be combined with Jungian counseling. Let’s go deeper by clarifying and reframing the personal narratives that hold us back.

Color Your Unconscious 💜

Today I’m excited to share that one of my tutors from The College of Psychic Studies is releasing a tarot coloring book later this year - can’t wait to see it! Avril Price is a fantastic teacher, with 20 plus years of teaching and tarot reading experience. I signed up for a workshop with her last month, on my London holiday. Out this November, the book is sure to be a gold mine. It’s called The Watkins Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot Coloring Book. It can be ordered on Barnes & Noble.

Avril’s new coloring book focuses on the original Rider Waite Smith deck, upon which most modern decks have been designed. It is a good place to start because once we learn the symbolism of RWS, we can read dozens of other decks without having to make a huge effort at memorization. But as I’ve mentioned elsewhere, what matters most to me is that I am drawn to the images, both intuitively and artistically.

With this in mind, I’ve added snapshots of some of my favorite tarot decks to my latest Instagram post. They are all fab and easy for beginners. In full transparency, I haven’t seen Avril’s book yet but based on my experience with her in class, I’m sure it will be great. If you do buy another deck, having both visuals will come in handy.

If you’re new to Diary of a Psychic Healer, the blog posts on this link are from my student days with Avril Price. Please have a look at the blog on your laptop and search for the topic of your choice. Many years and 550+ posts since this adventure began.

Remote Viewing & Mediumship

I’m on vacation in London for a few weeks - it has been ten years since I moved away and I find myself loving it. It’s my favorite city, by far. Didn’t realize just how many friends I still had here, and it’s been so cool catching up with everyone.

Along the way, I signed up for two workshops at my former psychic school - or the College, as we tend to call it affectionately. Funny enough, both workshops were held in the same room where I took my first classes, back in 2010, and where I later had to do a platform demonstration of angel readings. Have to admit I was feeling nostalgic.

The first workshop was taught by the remote viewer and psychic, Ann Théato. We began with a few intuition exercises to read each other’s Auras and pinpoint areas of tension. My classmate saw stuck energy in my left ankle (I wear a compression stocking that wasn’t visible) and in my tummy - both impressions, accurate.

But the big surprise came when the teacher had us do the same psychic meditation that we did in my first ever clairvoyance workshop, back in January 2010. You tune into your classmate’s home psychically, seeing and feeling it with your intuition, and describe it to them. When I attended that class 14 years ago, it totally blew my mind 🤩🤩🤩 Now it seems normal.

One of the things that stood out this week: I sensed that my classmate’s home should have music but that it wasn’t there. It turned out that her partner is a DJ and music was the norm for them, but his speakers broke down. The music was playing in his headphones, not the house. She was able to describe quite a few details too - my dog, decorations, etc.

By the looks of it, most if not all, of my classmates were able to remote view each other’s homes. The teacher’s way of working was direct, a quick opening meditation and onto the good stuff.

After that we changed partners and tried a new exercise that blended mediumship and clairvoyance - tuning into the home of a family member that had passed away and describing their home. We didn’t know who the person was; finding out was part of the class assignment.

I felt it was my classmate’s paternal grandmother, and when I described the house, the look on her face was a clear confirmation. I liked this approach because looking at a loved one’s house is emotionally easier than receiving messages. Even after all this time, I’m still not keen to go there, but it’s nice to know that it is possible. It gives people closure.

If you are interested in learning mediumship, Ann Théato teaches online at AnneTheato.comAnd of course, mediumship has been a huge area of focus at The College of Psychic Studies since Queen Victoria’s days. Founded in 1884 🫶🏻

The Archangels of Balance, Blessings and Infinite Joy

For five years I have hoped that The College of Psychic Studies would offer online classes and finally, they have! Moving to London in 2009 turned out to be one of the greatest adventures of my life, mostly because I stumbled across this fantastic school where we learned to access our intuition through the chakras. This led me down the rabbit hole that I have been blogging about for 10 years 😅

There are dozens of classes at the College but I was feeling nostalgic and I signed up for angel intuition (the class that I used to take), which was amazing as one of my former classmates now teaches at the College! Her name is Liesl Duffy, and for those of you who want to learn from scratch, she is highly recommended. Liesl introduced us to three archangels, some of whom I had heard of, some I hadn't.

  • Archangel Dokiel: This is the one I feel is most necessary now because of the intense stress and upheaval that we are going through on a global level. Dokiel is not an angel that we would typically call on, as he is the angel of balance, order and harmony on a more universal level. When I connected with him in one of our intuitive meditations I got the clear sense that he is a cosmic surgeon who works with matter and light. He helps us create order, harmony and balance for ourselves and our communities. In the meditation I felt like we can team up with Archangel Dokiel in intuitive meditations by visualizing the entire planet in front of us (imagining yourself in a dark room with the Earth in front of you) and visualizing it in gold, blue and green, in perfect harmony. As we have discussed earlier on the blog, we always ground, clear and shield our personal energy before connecting with the Archangels. This keeps us clear of environmental factors, especially anyone else's thoughts or feelings as that can interfere with our intuition. Read my book, Chakra Healing & Magick, to awaken your sixth sense  💕
  • Archangel Gadiel - This beautiful angel's name literally means "God is my Wealth" and he helps us heal emotional and spiritual blocks to wealth. As discussed in Chakra Healing & Magick, the Heart Chakra is the gateway for all of the abundance that we receive from the upper realms and I was really pleased to hear Liesl refer to Archangel Gadiel's definition of abundance as Heart Prosperity. Think of all the qualities that make your cup overflow - they likely go far beyond financial needs to include love, friendship and health. We can work with Archangel Gadiel and with other archangels to release all inner blocks and beliefs that keep us from experiencing that Heart Prosperity. In class Liesl talked about infinite joy and heart prosperity being accessed with Archangel Gadiel's help. When I meditate, I feel that he helps me get a sense of the Unity Chakra, which sits on top of the Auric Field. However we have to ground ourselves and heal on a much deeper level before we access this chakra; But we can connect with Archangel Gadiel at anytime to heal and open the Heart Chakra.
  • Archangel Barachiel is part of the Eastern Orthodox tradition in Christianity. His name refers to blessings. Barachiel helps us move towards a state of gratitude so that we find silver linings if we are going through a tough time, and so that we don't lose sight of our many blessings if we are OK but somehow dissatisfied. His energy feels just wonderful. I have only just begun to connect with Archangel Barachiel

It feels like a huge disconnect to talk about health and prosperity when we are in the middle of a global pandemic, but I believe the archangels are here to help us visualize the type of world and stability that we can create if we humans work together. As I have mentioned before, the angels are not fairy god-mothers in the Disney sense, but we can ask for guidance on how to rise above challenges. They fill us with energy healing, love and confidence so that we can release fear, insecurity and exhaustion - as being human isn't always easy...

A Book on Love

In meditation, the message that keeps coming through is that the world needs a lot of love right now. My friend and fellow teacher Liesl Duffy has just published a book of poems on love, no doubt inspired in part by Archangel Chamuel. Follow the links to Amazon USA and Amazon UK (or Amazon in your country) to read it. Liesl is a wonderful teacher, healer and author.

Update from Regina (2025): These three archangels can help us activate the top-most vertical paths on the kabbalistic Tree of Life. The first letters of their names relate to the paths, as set out by Isaac Luria.

I am determined to see clearly (ACIM 4)

I am running late with my final update on A Course in Miracles, and I don't want to skip it because a lot of exciting things happened last week. But first, let's talk about crystal balls! One of the first classes I signed up for at The College of Psychic Studies was a fun psychic exploration class with Michelle Hawcroft. This was in May of 2010, a few months before I started this blog. I was brand new to this magical world of spirit guides, angels, intuition and clairvoyance and every week was an adventure. I honestly loved all of the classes I took at the College, but Michelle's were probably the most fun.

Michelle had us try a different tool every week, to test our Intuition. The ones that stand out were clairvoyant meditations where we went on a meditative journeys to meet our spirit guides. Mine had long cloaks and initially I mistook them for monks, but eventually I also saw pointy hats and Dumbledore beards. Then one week, we practiced scrying with bowls of water - that was fun! Scrying is when you relax your mind and look into an object like a mirror, a crystal ball or even a bowl of water, and let your Intuition come in with images. Michelle made it easier for us by lighting candles and pouring melted wax into the water. The wax cools down quickly when it touches cold water, making odd shapes in the process. We looked for images in the wax, to try and intuit messages for each other.

🔮 When it was my turn to receive a reading, we saw three shapes in the melting wax: a star, a ballerina and a wizard! My classmates tuned into their intuition to get the meanings. The star represented my spirit guides and my connection with the Universe, the wizard was one of those guides, and the ballerina, well, you'll never guess! One of my classmates asked if I worked in theatre or performance art, was I a dancer? Nope, I was in marketing. She then asked if I was looking for a job (I was) and suggested I keep my mind open if someone approached me about a vacancy in music or dancing. She saw me "behind the scenes" doing something creative. At the time I worked in consumer marketing with a huge company and the thought of going to a theater never would have crossed my mind. I dismissed it. Two days later,  I almost fell off my chair when a headhunter called to tell me about an awesome marketing job with a music academy. My classmate was onto something! That little bowl of wax and water let us peer into the future, but in the end I made my own decision, accepting a new job at the company where I already worked. I got a much better salary because of that second offer, and a spot on a wonderful brand team. And that new job was great. It was a wonderful place to work, good bosses, talented colleagues etc.

Since then I've been curious about scrying and for some reason, I really wanted a crystal ball even though I wasn’t sure how else to “use” one. The past five years I've gone into every metaphysical shop looking for quartz spheres but it never felt like it was the right time to buy one. That and the fact that the ones I saw didn't speak to me. Fast forward five and a half years to last Tuesday. I was sitting in class listening to our teacher talk about A Course in Miracles and how we're learning to see things clearly, without any of the assumptions that we tend to project onto the world. I had a weird trippy moment where I started thinking about the Egyptian Goddess Isis, her son Horus and how the mythology tells us that he lost an eye avenging his father's death, and only after that loss, was he able to see clearly. An eye for an eye is a sad way to live our lives. That's how Horus lived his, until he lost his human sight and gained the spiritual gift of seeing with his heart instead.

I left my ACIM class on Tuesday thinking that I wanted to see clearly for once. How could I boost my clairvoyance? 🔮🔮🔮

On Thursday I had booked myself onto a quartz crystal workshop, one where we would get to connect with crystals, receive messages and use them for healing. I love crystals and I have read up on them, but I wanted more class time. The acquaintance that taught it suggested that I bring a quartz point with me to class and I didn't have one, so I went looking. Don't ask me why, I put a certain amount of cash in my wallet and went shopping. The only metaphysical shop near my house is tiny, and they didn't have any quartz points - but they did have crystal balls! I saw a quartz sphere and it just spoke to me. The price was exactly what I had in my pocket. I went home with the crystal that same day and used Thursday's class to activate it. So Tuesday I had this Horus moment where I wanted to see clearly, Wednesday I found my quartz crystal ball, and on Thursday we got to activate crystals. Synchronicities!

I'm looking forward to meditating with this quartz sphere. For now, I just hold it in my hands and feel its energy. I wasn't expecting to see any images but I have. It almost feels like I'm holding a snow globe and when I shake it (energetically), the dust settles and I see a different picture in my mind's eye

Reiki hugs,

Regina

Psychic Mediumship with Geoffrey Beitz

By now I have probably taken a dozen courses at The College of Psychic Studies. It never ceases to surprise me how fun and effective they are. Most of my lessons have so far have been on how to channel angels and spirit guides, but every now and then I take a break from the angels and try something different. The tutors have different styles as well, so mixing it up takes you out of your comfort zone.

This summer I took a wonderful class with psychic medium Geoffrey Beitz, where we used different tools every week to unlock our intuition. Everything you can think of from flowers, to toys and oracle cards - even chairs (psychometry! You’d hold it, look at it or sit on it to get a message. In the other classes, we’ve worked with ribbons, melting wax, jewels and Christmas cards - the piece you’re drawn to has a message.

The only thing your intuition needs is a focus point and a moment of calm (as well as a good opening up meditation) to get going. So for example, the first week we were given blocks of wood with letters painted on them, the kind children use to spell out words. We sat in pairs and tuned into our classmate's letters, asking our intuition to give us a word. My classmate had the letter T and as soon as I saw it, I thought train. Clairvoyantly, I saw a locomotive pulling over for maintenance, before embarking on a journey around the world. It was a  metaphor for a much needed rest stop. Then it was my turn to get a reading: you're needed at home (or maybe that my healing work was needed at home), meaning home country as I've been a globe trotter for a while. The funny thing is we played musical chairs and worked with 3 or 4 different partners, and at each stop I got a variation of the same message: go home, go home, go home and its time to teach healing. Eventually I asked when I had to go home, as I had barely landed in London and I was there for a summer of teacher trainings.

The class was really cool and a complete surprise every week. My favourite was the last class, where Geoffrey walked in with a bouquet of thorny roses. We each chose a rose and were tasked with giving life readings based on the flower stem, the leaves, the thorns and the flower itself. So imagine that the base of the stem represents childhood. Was it straight or curvy and what did that mean. We used our fingertips to trace the length of the stem, asking what the leaves, thorns and outgrowths represented. It might be a big relationship, the birth of a child and sometimes a divorce (or a second marriage). Your intuition fills in the blanks in ways that you'd never expect. I kept getting a visual of my classmate as a young girl in a particular decade, but was confused because she looks ten or fifteen years younger than her age. So logically, I referenced events that had transpired (I thought) before her birth, only to realise that they happened during her childhood. It was a reminder to trust the information and pass it on.

We also explored mediumship, as Geoffrey is a Psychic Medium. People often confuse psychics with mediums. Labels can be confusing and I think it's easier to explain where the information comes from. Some psychics read a person's aura and use those impressions to tell them what might be going on. I tend to work this way during energy healing sessions where I'm clearing a person's Aura or their Chakras. Psychics can also open up to receive insight from angels, or from spirit guides though these tend not to be people that we knew. We can all learn to connect with our angels or guides in meditation

Mediumship (as defined at the College) is when you pass on messages from loved one who have passed away. I tend to get the great, great aunt that isn't recognized even though the advice is usually relevant for the sitter. I am not sure why this happens, maybe we just have more people looking out for us than we know. All things considered, I'd rather do psychic readings than mediumship right now. The College is known for its talented mediums. I just hadn’t gone there myself.

For those of you in London, Geoffrey is teaching a 7 week class next term on the Lenormand Oracle Cards. We used them twice this term, they're easy to read and quicker to learn than Tarot.
