Can Psychic Intuitions be Timely and Specific?

We often see psychics in movies, and they have a message that is super urgent and needs to be delivered to someone far away - say, a public figure, or to alert the world about a disaster, etc. One of my tutors in psychic school would tell us that those psychics probably lacked grounding.

They did tune into the collective, but there wasn't anything they could do about it. Grounding is a spiritual practice that brings your energy, your intuitions and your messages down to your daily life.

In school we learned to ask for grounded, specific, practical and timely messages - things we could pass on, and that would be useful to the person listening. My psychic school days were in 2010-2013.

Years later, I wasn't expecting to receive ungrounded messages anymore.

So imagine my surprise, when my intuition started telling me that I had to give Enrique Iglesias a reading urgently. I laughed it off, and thought, this had to be my imagination. Enrique Iglesias is a well-known musician. The message kept coming back, intensely. I was to give him a reading, THAT DAY. Was I supposed to message him??? I didn't think so. Even so, I checked out his Instagram page - he had tens of millions of followers. I must be wrong.

So I did what any of my former classmates would do - I grounded myself, cleared my energy field and brushed off that intuition 🪴 I did not message him.

Well wouldn't you know it, a few hours later I received an inbox from an acquaintance whose name is EnriqueHe is not famous. I thought his last name was something else entirely (won't share it here). Like many of us in the Spanish speaking world, he has two last names. I had never registered the Iglesias. My eyes usually caught his second surname.

He wanted to make a career move and asked if I could see him for an intuition session in the next few weeks. I told him I needed to see him that day 😂 I won't go into the session obviously, but one of the visuals that came through in the guided meditation was of him working at a specific organization. I soon learned it was one that he had on his list of dream jobs. The feeling I got, was that he should check their job postings every day because something might open up. The very next day, they posted a role that fit him. I couldn't believe it. Neither could he.

I won't share more to respect the client's privacy - the point is that the timing was relevant.

Thoughts on Intuition

First things first - I don't do psychic readings anymore and focus only on energy healing and astrology. But I wanted to give an example of how intuition can be mind bending. It gives us a heads up, but what actually happens is not set in stone. It alerts us to opportunities.

Don't trust what comes to you blindly, rather, see how you can bring it into your life in a sensible way. I have had several of these events, or crazy coincidences. Here is one from my corporate days. There have also been plenty of times when I was wrong - to be transparent.

And looking back, I was grounded in this scenario, because the psychic message was intended for a regular person, not a celebrity LOL. The perfectionist in me feels strongly about that.

Note: The client’s first name and last name coincided with another famous person. I changed the name for privacy reasons. I have no association with Enrique Iglesias, the singer.

Job Hunting with a Pendulum

Psychic abilities help us get ahead, but there are shortcuts that we can use if we haven’t fully developped our skills through meditation. One of my favorites are pendulums, though we have to know how to work them, and how to filter out biases.

Let me tell you about an early experience with pendulums, when I’d been connecting with my intuition for a few months …

As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I was looking for a job - I was finishing up a one year contract at a big company outside London. A great place to work, and I really wanted to land a permanent job at that company.

As far as I knew, there weren’t any job openings on my floor. I was in a marketing department with 40 people; we led product launches across Europe. My pendulum told me there would soon be an opening in marketing, and I set out to find out where.

So one night, I sat down, grounded and shielded my Aura, and then made a list of brand teams, writing each brand name on a small piece of paper. My marketing floor managed 8 brands, I was on one of those.

I folded up the pieces of paper so that I wouldn’t know which was which, and asked the pendulum to sort them into piles of YES and NO. You’re really asking your higher self and your soul - not the pendulum, per se. It signalled out one brand team as having an upcoming job opening.

Next, I wrote the names of the actual colleagues who were on that team, on separate pieces of paper, and asked who might be leaving. (It was an international team, and it wasn’t uncommon for us to move onto specific country teams)…

It said yes for a lady named Gianna. She sat in a cubicle near mine, reporting to a different marketing director. I wouldn’t have heard about that change organically.

The next morning, I walked into my marketing director’s office and mentioned, quite casually, that I had overheard someone say that Gianna was moving to a new post - did she know if that was true?

If so, could I apply?

My boss was shocked (not more than I, lol). It was true but still very hush hush. No one was supposed to know about it. Who had told me? I didn’t know what to say, and mentioned that I heard people talk, but didn’t recognize their voices 😂

Anyhooo, long story short, my boss caught up with Gianna’s boss to see if I could apply. It turned out that her job was going to be repurposed to a much higher level, well above my experience level (hers would have been within reach for me)…

So the pendulum was accurate; I just forgot to ask if that role was right for me. I ended up being promoted to a job in a different part of the company. It was awesome.

I started Diary of a Psychic Healer two months after taking that new job, in 2010. In those days, I did lots of experiments with my pendulum. Don’t stake your life on the answers; it gives direction, but we have to verify things. Anyhooo, this was one of my most memorable psychic experiences.

That job was in consumer healthcare (and I did love it there). My blog was anonymous until 2013; I kept it to myself. Some of my colleagues did know what I was up to.

Notice: Please do not use your pendulum to make decisions—this blog shares my personal experiments only. Asking my boss about the vacancy was bold, but low risk in my situation.

The names have been changed for privacy reasons too.

Are Spirit Guides Real??

Over the years, I've had many takes on this question. Are spirit guides figments of our unconscious or our imagination? I think it's important to be open to being wrong, and not to become too attached to our beliefs.

But first, what are spirit guides?

The idea is that when we ask our intuition for answers, the answer can come from several places - I cover these options in my book, Chakra Healing & Magick, but basically, our intuition brings messages from the angels, spirit guides, your higher self and some would say, from God.

I didn't include the last one in my book, but basically, spirit guides are humans who lived on Earth and that have wisdom or special experience to share with us. Growing up Catholic, this didn't feel like a stretch because I was used to asking a particular saint for help. Like St Francis of Assisi. Asking an ancestor for guidance is common in Mexico too. But after a few months in psychic school, my guides became a lot more colorful than that. In the past I've blogged about how I used to see a wizard in my early days as a psychic student, he first popped up in a mind-bending scrying class. Funny enough, the wizard helped me negotiate a new job for myself, with a much better salary.

But even then, I thought the wizard was a figment of my imagination, and I'd push him aside. Then my classmates started seeing him too, and I decided to take him seriously. This was in 2010 to 2011, when I was a psychic school newbie. I was still scared of magick and intuition - on one hand, I didn't think magick was real and I worried people would think I had lost my mind. This went on for a few years - even after I'd graduated as an energy healer. My inner skeptic has always been super loud. But by 2015, I was completely sold on healing yourself with magick. Soon after, I started writing Chakra Healing & Magick.

Round about that time, the wizard guide disappeared and I began to wonder if he had been a figment of my imagination or my unconscious. The latter would have been just as valuable as a real spirit guide...

My assumption was that the clairvoyant image was there to awaken the healer or magician in me, and that when I embodied that, he disappeared. I was sad when that happened, but magick is about who we become. Not that I'm a wizard LOL, but now I feel happy and comfortable talking about crystals, astrology, psychic abilities etc.

So imagine my surprise, when I started teaching intuition in 2016. My first big workshop was on psychic abilities, angels and goddesses. I led the students on a few guided meditations before putting them in small groups. Each of the groups would connect with an angel or guide - a mystical musical chairs where the students changed places to feel the energy of an angel vs. an archangel vs. a goddess. I had attended a similar workshop with one of my tutors, in 2010, when I was starting out. Loved it ðŸ”®

> When I was splitting them up into small groups, that wizard guide came back and asked me to put him with a group. Sensing the guide is fleeting, a feeling or image that you learn to trust, but it was there. I told that specific group that they were connecting with one of my guides - a wizard. They expected someone solemn to appear, say Gandalf, but he is playful and fun. The cool thing is that when the students in that group talked about their experiences, they'd all seen and felt the same things. Like literally the same clairvoyant images, sensations etc. There were four or five people in the wizard group; one pair that was sitting opposite each other saw one specific image, the other pair sitting opposite each other saw a different image. I think it was geometric patterns, very simple and starlike. I wasn't guiding the meditation or telling them what to see, because 5-6 groups were meditating at the same time, each with a different archangel, guide or goddess.

So yes, I'm back to spirit guides being real. I have been there since 2016 LOL. They can be a lot of fun to connect with. Have a look at Chakra Healing & Magick, Chapter 6 to meet your spirit guides: Psychic Development for Beginners 🌟🌟🌟

Freedom from Hopes & Fears

The past month I have given myself lots of energy healing, focusing on patterns that I want to release before moving onto post-pandemic life (eventually). One of the things that comes up a lot in energy healing sessions is releasing fears and anxieties, as they box us in. For example, fear of failure or rejection might keep us from taking the initiative in our daily lives.

What I hadn't thought of, was that releasing Hope is as important as releasing Fear. Hope is a wonderful, abstract quality to have, but hoping something specific will happen can be as sticky as wishing that one of our fears will not come true. Hopes and fears also get in the way of our Intuition, making it harder for us to receive clear guidance from above.

When it comes to different types of intuitive readings, our hopes and fears are most likely to hijack tarot readings. Our initial response to the cards is easily influenced by our state of mind. Whether we use tarot to predict the future, or better yet, to heal ourselves by shining a light on the unconscious; I find it helpful to clear my Aura before each session. You can do this by grounding yourself and visualizing a stream of violet light running through your Aura, into the ground. This releases confusing thoughts and emotions before we access our intuition  ðŸ’—

Letting go of hope may sound depressing, but releasing attachments opens us up to receive more than we asked for - an essential step in learning to trust the flow of life. This happened organically when I began to focus energy healing sessions on releasing fear, the source of our attachment to specific outcomes. Not quite there yet but I'm working on it.

Share your thoughts below! And if you'd like to know more about energy healing, intuition, and tarot as a doorway to your inner guide and healer, read Chakra Healing & Magick HERE

My 1st Psychic Development Class - 10 Years Ago!

In January of 2010, I signed up for my first clairvoyance workshop. Feeling curious but skeptical - would I be able to do any of the activities in the class description???

That skepticism disappeared by lunchtime when we finished the first exercise. The teacher put us in pairs and guided us through a meditation where we each visited the place where the other student lived.

We began by activating our Aura, and through it, our intuitionThe teacher then asked a series of questions: do they live in a city, what do you see in the street, how far from the neighbors, what color is the building, do you walk right through the front door into their home or is it a journey? The questions continued - how many bedrooms, how are they decorated, what is in the fridge, what is the view like? How many people live there? Do they have pets? What type of music do they listen to, etc.

When we came out of the meditation, the teacher told us to describe what we'd seen and the person would say YES to anything that was accurate. I went first and maybe a 1/3rd of the things I saw turned out to be right. The funny thing is I saw flashes of places I had been in real life - not the classmate's place specifically - but when I described my aunt's back yard and the view from her kitchen window, it matched his. I was able to say how many bedrooms they had, how the guest room was decorated, colors of the couch and where they had the violin (his wife, the teacher that day, was a musician though she hadn't told us what instrument she played). We had been instructed not to share personal details - I knew he was her husband because she mentioned it in class.

I was happy with what I saw but chalked a lot of it up to chance. Then my classmate started to describe the place where I lived. He had been going to her workshops for years - everything he described was accurate. It blew me away. I had just moved to London, moved into a flat in a huge building with more than 900 apartments. He described the number of entrances to the building, how many stairs. Where the concierge was, and roughly how many doors I had to walk by to get to my place (more than 28). He told me what the neighbors cooked, which smells made it into the hallway and which ones annoyed me.

When he described the apartment itself, he saw a one-bedroom apartment with no paintings on the wall. He told me what color the towels were in the bathroom, the color of the duvet on my bed and that I had a humongous closet - only a 1/3 full of clothes. He saw accurately that I didn't cook and had never turned on the oven (I didn't use it once the year that I lived there). The apartment was still bare as I had only been living in London a few months and it was a furnished flat with few decorations of my own. I was floored by his description; he didn't say anything that wasn't true.

When this was over our teacher had us come back to the circle and list three things that we perceived accurately. I was relieved to name ten; she laughed because I was describing her house. Every student in the class was able to name five or more things, and she told us it was because we had begun the day with an hour-long energy meditation to quiet the mind and relax into our energy fields. The rest of the weekend was crazy; we went through dozens of exercises to work with clairvoyance but also the senses of touch, taste, feeling, hearing and just knowing.

The teacher was visiting from Helsinki and I never saw her again, but I’ve followed her advice down to the letter. First - trust what comes to you intuitively and describe exactly what you see or feel. If we interpret what we see without describing it, we risk missing the mark and the person might have recognized that image. Second - we can all go on an 8-hour workshop and do amazing things. But if we want to access our intuition regularly, meditation has to become a daily practice. Our intuition speaks through the Aura and Chakras; we need to build those muscles slowly. I was so tired after this first class that I could barely make it to work for a week.

Always ground, clear and shield your personal energy before connecting with Divine Light to make sure that any messages come from Source - whether we call it God, the Universe or Love. My psychic school was in central London and I loved that the diversity of the students kept the vocabulary from following any one religion. We all connect with the same light to activate our sixth sense. It didn't matter if you were Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, atheist or a lapsed Catholic like myself. It was not about belief (other than in yourself) - because the idea was to verify what we saw. The visual was accurate or it wasn't; with time we would get better at clearing our energy and receiving visual messages. We also explored other clairs, not just clairvoyance.

Later that year I signed up for weekly psychic development classes, and I started this blog in September 2010. These tools have taken energy healing to another level. You can go back to the beginning and read my posts HERE or follow the links below for Chakra Healing & Magick; learn to do all of this fun stuff yourself 💕💕💕

So, I mention being skeptical at the beginning. Fun fact: when I took this class, I was working in consumer healthcare and I spent a lot of my time looking at science data. It was a weird and interesting balance to strike. That and my background in philosophy, which leaned skeptical. That made it harder, but it also grounded me. In hindsight I put the brake on my spiritual pursuits a lot, because of this. It's something that I have had to let go of, without being impractical.

I have since replicated this dynamic in my own psychic development workshops. It's a good one to start with as it gets students relaxed and chatty. I'd love to hear about your intuitive adventures. Please join me on social media links below. You will find guided meditations to complement my book - have a look at the playlists!
