My 1st Psychic Development Class - 10 Years Ago!

It has been ten years since I came across my first angel intuition book and began to experiment with psychic abilities. Three months later I signed up for an energy healing workshop where we learned to heal codependence in relationships - and in January 2010, I was sitting in my first clairvoyance workshop at The College of Psychic Studies in London. I was curious but also skeptical. Would I be able to do any of the activities in the class description?

My Inner Child With That Book!

That skepticism disappeared by lunchtime when we completed the first clairvoyant exercise. The teacher put us in pairs and guided us through a meditation where we each went to see the house or apartment where the other student lived. She asked a series of questions - is it in a city, what do you see in the street, how far from the neighbors, what color is the building, do you walk right through the front door into their home or is it a journey? The questions continued - how many bedrooms, how are they decorated, what is in the fridge, what is the view like? How many people live there? Do they have pets? What type of music do they listen to, etc.

When we came out of the meditation, the teacher told us to describe what we'd seen and the person would say YES to anything that was accurate. I went first and maybe a 1/3rd of the things I saw turned out to be right. The funny thing is I saw flashes of places I had been in real life - not the classmate's place specifically - but when I described my aunt's back yard and the view from her kitchen window, it matched his. I was able to say how many bedrooms they had, how the guest room was decorated, colors of the couch and where they had the violin (his wife, the teacher that day, was a musician though she hadn't told us what instrument she played).

I was happy with what I saw but chalked a lot of it up to chance. Then my classmate started to describe the place where I lived. He was the teacher's husband, and had been going to her workshops for years - everything he described was accurate. It blew me away. I had just moved to London, moved into a flat in a huge building with more than 900 apartments. He described the number of entrances to the building, how many stairs. Where the concierge was, and roughly how many doors I had to walk by to get to my place (more than 28). He told me what the neighbors cooked, how the smells made it into the hallway and which scents annoyed me.

When he described the apartment itself, he saw a one-bedroom apartment with no paintings on the wall. He told me what color the towels were in the bathroom, the color of the duvet on my bed and that I had a humongous closet - only a 1/3 full of clothes. He saw accurately that I didn't cook and had never turned on the oven (I didn't use it once the year that I lived there). The apartment was still bare as I had only been living in London a few months and it was a furnished flat with few decorations of my own. I was floored by his description; he didn't say anything that wasn't true.

When this was over our teacher had us come back to the circle and list three things that we perceived accurately. I was relieved to name ten; she laughed because I was describing her house. Every student in the class was able to name five or more things, and she told us it was because we had begun the day with an hour-long energy meditation to quiet the mind and relax into our energy fields. The rest of the weekend was crazy; we went through dozens of exercises to work with clairvoyance but also the senses of touch, taste, feeling, hearing and just knowing.

The teacher was visiting from Helsinki and I never saw her again, but I followed her advice down to the letter. First - trust what comes to you intuitively and describe it exactly as you see or feel it. If we interpret what we see without describing it, we risk missing the mark and the person might have recognized that image. Second - we can all go on an 8-hour workshop and do amazing things. But if we want to access our intuition regularly, meditation has to become a daily practice. Our intuition speaks to us through the Aura and Chakras, and we need to build those muscles slowly. I was so tired after this first class that I could barely make it to work for a week.

Third - ground, clear and shield your personal energy before connecting with Divine Light to make sure that any messages come from Source - whether we call it God, the Universe or Love. The College of Psychic Studies is in central London and I loved that the diversity of the students kept the vocabulary from following any one religion. We all connect with the same light to activate our sixth sense. It didn't matter if you were Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, atheist or a lapsed Catholic like myself. It was not about belief (other than in yourself) - because the proof was in the pudding. The visual was accurate, or it wasn't.

Later that year I signed up for weekly psychic development classes and started this blog in September 2010. You can go back to the very beginning and read my posts HERE, or follow the links below to my latest book and learn to do all of this fun stuff yourself 💕💕💕

The Mechanics of Forgiveness

A lot has been written on forgiveness and why it is so important to let go of grievances; it is one of the steps on the road to peace. But it is not the first step nor the most important. Think of a person who has been hurt or betrayed by an ex, a close friend or by a terrible loss. How can one expect to forgive if one still feels hurt? Yesterday I sat and meditated in a beautiful church called Mary Star of the Sea, where I had the most amazing insights on this question...

The short answer: we can't forgive if we are still hurting. Based on my experiences with energy healing over the past ten years, the first step is to become aware of our emotional pain and let it be what it is. Accept the fact that you feel angry or hurt. If this emotion is the result of an abusive relationship or situation, please get help and find a safe way out - but if it stems from the past, give yourself time and space to let those feelings come to the surface so that you can heal them. Therapy works wonders, and we can also try energy healing at home!

Three Steps to Forgiveness:

1) Begin by grounding, clearing and shielding your personal energy before attuning to divine light. The steps can be found in both of my healing books. You'll find a basic chakra meditation HERE

2) Once you are ready to start channeling the energy of love and compassion through your physical body and Aura, visualize the part of yourself that feels hurt. Let a soft white, violet or pink light stream through you, sending any excess healing energies into the ground. No pressure to heal quickly or to experience forgiveness - just give that part of yourself lots of love.

3) We then end the visualization by running gold light through our body and Aura, letting it fill all of the spaces that might have been cleared by the healing energy that we have just channeled. Always end by grounding and shielding your personal space and energy.

This approach acknowledges that a part of your psyche may be in an emotional or energetic ICU. With care and self-healing, it will come through stronger and more resilient. When that part of yourself is ready to emerge, the bruises will have faded; And instead of forgiving rationally because the mind tells you that letting go brings peace, forgiveness will come about naturally.

Learn To Do-It-Yourself!

Both of my self-healing books guide us through the whole process. If you would like to try a creative approach to self-healing, Chakra Healing & Magick is probably the best fit. Chapter 5 guides us through the energy healing steps required to balance and heal our chakras, or to send healing to specific themes by using crystals as a focal point. This works well as stones amplify energy, and we can choose specific stones to heal the Heart & Brow Chakras 💝 My go-to stones for emotional healing are pink: Rose Quartz is great but so are Mangano Calcite and Rhodonite. The ones in the picture are from Earths Elements crystal shop in Encinitas, CA.

If you are interested in forgiveness from a health and wellness point of view, I would suggest my first book, A Personal Guide to Self-Healing, Cancer & Love; it looks at energy healing as a complementary therapy for cancer patients though it is also useful in other situations. The book might as well have been called Self-Healing, Cancer & Forgiveness. The healing tools are meant to help us channel our emotions, including stress, making it useful for the whole family. It is based on my family's experience with cancer. You'll find the ebook and paperback on Amazon below:

Please give yourself a chance to run the energy of love, compassion and forgiveness through your body. Even if we feel that we have nothing to let go of, memories will come to the surface, often from childhood and young adult years. It is often the little things that leave energetic imprints, but they fade away just as quickly when we finally decide to dust ourselves off.

Yesterday I Sent Reiki to the Eclipse (Fright of my Life 😅)

Yesterday we had an eclipse in Capricorn, which also happens to be my natal moon sign. So I sat down and thought I would draw a Reiki bridge to the Eclipse to download its energy to my life. Not the best idea in hindsight, but it was an experience.

So what is a Reiki Bridge??? Reiki is a self-healing and relaxation technique that developed in Japan 100 years ago. We can use it to meditate, to send healing to others, or to heal our lives.

When Reiki practitioners want to set an intention for a healing session, we draw Japanese kanji (letters) on our hands or in the air in front of us. There are just a few Reiki symbols included in the system, and one of these creates an energy bridge to another location, time or person. This is my favorite Reiki symbol because it gives Reiki so many uses. We can use it to send healing to a difficult experience in the past, or to do well in the future. We can send healing to someone that is going into surgery. It doesn't matter from how far away, you can even send Reiki to the Moon!

This is what I did yesterday, about 6 hours after the Eclipse. It was late at night and I remembered that ages ago, I suggested one of my Facebook friends build a Reiki bridge to the Moon each night to see how the Moon's energy shifts as it waxes and wanes, and as it moves through the twelve zodiac signs. The watery signs are my favorite. I am a huge fan of Scorpio, but they all have something for us and we can download that energy to integrate it.

Listen To This When the Moon is in Scorpio

My goal was to make the most of the Full Moon and Eclipse, letting go of whatever needs to go so that I can move on with my life. The image that came to mind for this eclipse in Capricorn was of Base Camp at Mount Everest, and unpacking deadweight before heading to the Summit.

In meditations I often use a mountain trek as a symbol for Capricorn because this resilient sign has the patience and diligence to put one foot in front of the other and eventually reach the top.

I sat down to meditate, drew the Reiki bridge in front of me and started to feel the Eclipse's energy (I am now wishing I hadn't). It was reallyyyy reallyyyyy intense, which surprised me, because my psychic sensitivity pretty much disappeared 48 hours before the eclipse and I thought it wouldn't come back for a few more days. When I started to feel a rush of energy through my Aura, I asked for the Sun, Moon and Eclipse to clear away any and all fears, attachments and karmic ties.

About 5 minutes later, the building started shaking - at first it felt like a humongous bird had slammed into the wall. But no, it was a 2.9 earthquake with its epicenter 16 kilometers away (10 miles); it was the fright of my life though luckily the Reiki Quake only lasted a fraction of a second. It freaked me out and I didn't fall asleep for hours after that. We have had several mini quakes this week in that radius, but the timing on this one shook me up.

When I finally fell asleep I couldn't help thinking how fear has become an everyday part of life in Mexico because of crime, and how these ongoing quakes add to the sense of nervousness. Though maybe, they are meant to wake us up and not shake us up (saw that on Instagram).

Are You a Love or a Happiness?

Ever since I started studying intuition ten years ago I have had the weirdest dreams. Last night I had one where it felt like I was traveling to another dimension or to a new kind of planet. The people there were made of energy and light. I didn't get a sense of physical bodies but they were conscious. They had Auras, light bodies and individuality.

When I was approached by someone who seemed like he was of the opposite gender (for lack of a better word), I began comparing my energy to his and a question came to mind:

Regina, what are you?

And without missing a light-beat, I replied: I am a Happiness.

The one asking was a Love. And the feeling that I got was that in that dimension - in this crazy dream of mine - Loves paired up with Happinesses. Yin and Yang in a world of light.

This idea definitely rang a bell...

One of the biggest lessons for me has been to define the word Happiness on my own terms and what it means to live a life that makes me happy. Is it selfish to prioritize happiness? That is what my latest book is about and what Holy Fire® and Karuna Reiki® are about, happiness and compassion.

A few years ago I had the idea of writing a novel about a flower fairy who noticed that flowers faded faster if they went home with unhappy families. The fairy closed up her shop to go looking for happiness so she could put it in her bouquets.

I am not sure if I have found "it" yet, but Reiki makes a huge difference in my life and then two months ago I felt a happiness boost after going vegetarian (details here). My Chakra Healing & Magick book is geared towards living a life of love and empowerment - fueled by happiness 💛

Use Reiki to Lift Your Mood (Authentically)

I taught a Holy Fire ® Reiki class in Mexico on Saturday and something new happened energetically - since then it has happened twice more =)

Here goes my latest Reiki experience!

Towards the end of the class, I was talking about the ways I use Reiki in my daily life. For example, we can jot down goals, putting them on a sheet of paper and filling it with Reiki before brainstorming on how to bring those plans to life. The thing about Reiki or Energy Healing is that accessing our intuition helps us tune into the unlimited creativity of the Universe - including the knowledge that our Higher Selves have to share. Giving yourself an intuitive boost opens the mind up to new and exciting ways of thinking.

I was talking about these practical uses when my palms started to buzz the way they do at the beginning of a Reiki session. The energy usually feels like electric tingles, before becoming hotter and hotter as I am ready to approach the client in the healing session. But in class, the heat never came, the tingles never left and instead, I clairvoyantly saw and feel a white mist floating out from my palms into the room. Fifteen minutes later I was looking at the students through the mist!

Then on Monday I gave a one-to-one Reiki class. The student was curious about using Reiki with personal triggers, psychology and emotional healing.  I mentioned that Reiki and journaling go well together and how I use it extensively in my own life - and funny enough, that white misty Reiki started to flow out from my palm chakras! It's like Reiki was talking for me LOL.

Back to the Mood Lifting Tip!

Journaling has always been one of my favorite activities since childhood, hence this blog 😇 Then in 2017 I signed up for a psychology class where we learned to write about the things that bother us as a way to release those feelings. As you write, you tend to gain a deeper understanding how you really feel and why. Adding Reiki gives the session an extra oomph, as we direct healing energy at those feelings and let them evaporate gently. When you're done writing, place your hands on your Heart Chakra and fill your body with a sense of calm, peace and love (Reiki).

Reiki doesn't keep us from feeling our feelings, but it gives us a chance to understand them and hopefully feel just a fraction of what is there, as it makes its way out of our Aura. In some cases, for example trauma, it is best to see a therapist, but most of us will be able to give ourselves Reiki informally at home. Either way, Reiki is complementary to medical care, not alternative.

Many spiritual fads tell us to think positive, keep our vibes happy. I like to think of myself as a generally upbeat person, but I also spend a LOT of time thinking or writing about the sad, angry, and fearful feelings that make an appearance. And that is a big part of self-healing; otherwise the happy thought is no more than a bandaid. There is no reason to be afraid of our thoughts, but running away from an unhappy one can make it more resistant.

Reiki gives us an opportunity to deep dive into our feelings - letting the things that 'get us down' come to the surface in a gentle way. It serves to clear and heal the emotional body so that the things that aren't going perfectly well in our lives don't weigh us down so much. My spiritual psychology teacher likened each 'difficulty' of sorts to a glass that was full of water - every time we self heal, journal, or give ourselves Reiki, a bit of that water pours out.

Not Trained in Reiki? No Problem!

We can only channel Reiki if we have been taught by a teacher in a class. But there are other types of energy healing that we can channel without attending a class. Both of my Do-It-Yourself Energy Healing books guide us through the whole process. Chakra Healing & Magick, includes creative approaches to healing including chakra prompts, journaling, crystals and angel intuition:

The tools in the book can be carried out with Energy Healing (as discussed in Chapter 5) or with a Reiki Level 1 attunement. Hope it helps and please reach out if you have thoughts on the above!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned on email (Here)
